Duke, that is in fact what I was referring to. The way it is stated though implies that the intro will be later (though not much later) in 2005. Clearly Intel can deny having said that, but it is implied in the wording they used.
I have heard the engineers here say it takes 9-12 months from tapeout to shipping samples. How much longer to ship product? I suspect we will not see a meaningful intro until 2006 -- if ever. Pushing the intro in 2006 will put it so close to the intro of a desktop version of Dothan that it may not make sense. Just as we have seen the cascading announcments regarding P4, I think there is yet one announcement to come.
