Something like polymetric sand? I've got a bag of it now for the spaces between the walkway stones in a different location. But those are set on a firm base of sand on soil and really only to keep any vegetation from growing between the rocks.

I think I know the product you're talking about. I actually saw something described like it in black 5 gallon buckets.

That's basically like cement.
I used it when I just wanted to replace sand between pavers.
What a mess!
