Yes Gold, He heeded the advice of his doctor and had the cancer removed. This tends to keep people alive longer than the watch and wait. I see you are now coming around to understand that early detection and removal of cancer keeps one alive.

Gold stated,"Interesting. That story about David Nawrocki was written in 1997 at a stated age of 62. The biography listed him as living in San Antonio. the doctor supposedly gave him a short time to live.

Well, today, the only David Nawrocki living in Texas is indeed still in San Antonio and he is now listed as 73 years old. Yep, that checks out. It would seem the prostate cancer was not as lethal as suspected. Would RECAF made any difference? I doubt it."

If you read the entire article Gold you would have seen this," As I write this I am scheduling surgery for a nodal biopsy and possible chemosensitivity testing (as a guide to what kind of chemotherapy might work).

Good news is that this blockade causes blood levels of the male hormone testosterone to go way down; this in turn shrinks the prostate and kills off those cancer cells which need testosterone to stay alive. My PSA plummets to 0.01. A rough calculation suggests we've killed off about ninety-five percent of the original tumor.

he wants to radiate the prostate and then implant radioactive seeds in what's left of the prostate. I balk at radiation and suggest chemotherapy"

Doesn't sound like watchfull waiting to me gold...But I do know that 30,000 prostate cancer deaths each year did not go so well.
Good day
