I, too, reached out and spoke to Raymond, the interim CEO of American Pacific Rim Commerce Group who confirms Andy Fan was terminated on October 9th. He indicated Andy was given an opportunity to resign, but, was left no other option than to terminate. The reason for the decision came down to his "lack of experience" and the need to be more "professional". He also said frankly that, "Andy is a dumbass". (Wow. Are you allowed to kick, spit and blast former employees?)

With that said, he said Andy "didn't do anything illegal" nor "damaging to the company". He does have many contacts in China and could be of value in the right role. He would even "hire him back if he were to commit to being more professional". But, it's clear that Raymond didn't get along with Andy and therefore the relationship ended. Perhaps, this is how Steve was able to land him. We now understand why the PR didn't include "Mr. Fan is the former CEO of American Pacific Rim Commerce Group". ;)
