#308739 RE: TJ Parker #308738

Several people posted that Gross piece in real time. And I've been saying the same thing for over a year. The government statistics on just about anything are cooked, garbage in, garbage out. When I fill up the tank and gasoline is $2.00, the electricity bill is up (again) and someone tells me inflation is flat, BS. More quantitative, today I just read that health insurance premiums in my area were up 18% in 2004 and will rise 12% in 2005. Everyone knows about the housing bubble. So if you don't live indoors, don't drive, and never see a doctor, inflation is not a problem. While that cave is servicable, it is cold in the winter and your life expectancy just went down 25 years. Good luck.
