LG, adding to what you have said, Bob Z. has also said that there is a limited number of those $80 lifetime subscriptions, and that the offer for those will not remain open indefinitely.

Shhhh.... Nobody's supposed to know yet.

But since the feline has escaped the sack, a clarification. We're only going to sell a finite number of Lifetime Subscriptions, but we're not near that number yet and will let everyone know well in advance of the cutoff.

We're also planning to raise the price of Lifetime Subscriptions in the near future, and we'll let everyone know at least 2 weeks before that happens.

In addition to being the geek here, I'm the business guy, and a lesson I learned in the BBS days is that while a one-time fee paid by a lot of people is a great way to jump-start a business, recurring revenues keep it going. The biggest flaw I see with the SI business model is that advertising is their only recurring revenue stream. I'd like to keep advertising below 10% of the revenue mix, and have most of the other 90% be recurring revenue.
