I think they got the message that things are changing with a new deeper pocketed bully that is willing to go nose to nose with them anywhere in the world. This, IMO, is evidenced by their willingness to buy into the Jubilee field at substantially higher asking price than what they were able to do a few years ago when they were the acknowledged bully.

World governments have set the stage against the old line buy renegotiating decades old contracts. We have a new paradigme
in the world oil market and they are just now starting to wake up and figured out they are way behind.
