Again, the question is really, why should AMD or any company play the "guidance game"? What is the point, other than to help analysts do their somewhat questionable jobs?
Instead, they should do the best they can every quarter. Judge them on their results, not their psychic powers of prediction.
How would you have AMD know that wireless companies had double and triple ordered, and would then have to cancel?
