Kerry cleaned his clock once again.

half the time, kerry didn't answer the question, and blaming gwb, answering the rest of them..........he went backwards, answering previous questions, repeated himself, and consistently gave his "i've been consistent" response, even in the face of his known-by-all, historical flip-flops

Yes he did, but unfortunately, sound bytes do better in these debates, and too often Kery was not clear enough. On the question of importation of drug to Canada, his response should have been: "Dear so and so, the real question is how come the same drugs that are manufactured here, and bear the additional costs of first exporting to Canada and then reimporting to the US are 60% cheaper? The reason, dear lady, is that Canada negotiated a better price from the drug companies. We wanted to do the same, but this administration, in its last medicare bill specifically forbade medicare to negotiate a global price fo its patients with drug companies, thus gifting the drug industry a $193 Billion gift, on the tax payers' back.

And since he had 90 seconds for the response, he could have then added that for some reasons, our health care cost is getting close to 20% of GDP, while in Canada and Europe it is between 6% to 8%, where is the difference going, since we do not have better health (life expectancy in the US is less than in all those "socialized medicine" countries), and terminate with, we will find a way not to increase the percentage of GDP spent on health care, but deliver it more equitably, and make sure that the 50% plus that goes into excessive profits to the fat executives of the health care business is better spent elsewhere.
