Scottrade initially told me when they froze the stock that you could sell it, but you just couldn't buy it. That didn't last long.

I have had that very same thing happen on various pennies when there is a lot of volatility or (other)things going on. they will let you sell most of the time, but will restrict your purchases if they feel it may be risky.

They often will let you place the trade if you call them direct.They just make you run thorough few hoops so that you don't complain latter saying "I didn't know this was risky......sniff,sniff,whine,whine"

We have created a society of whiners ...........so the firms have to overly protect us, since we will not take self responsibility for our own actions.We always want to blame others.IMO.
