As to your second query, I have no inside knowledge. However, I saw an interview with Donald Trump recently on Fox and he said emphatically that there is no lending going on. He said he is glad he has money, because he does not think even he could borrow in this economy. Sort of a shock. But I speculate that the current situation has sent the finance departments of many companies into a fetal posture.
