My thoughts exactly. Even some of us who own a bunch of shares would anticipate a downward movement in a RS situation. I was thinking of shorting a few shares just to hedge my bets.

Have never shorted a stock before, so would like to throw a few questions out there for anyone who is familiar with this method. Assuming I have 300K shares, 150K in a retirement account and a 150K in regular account. If I am concerned about the short term drop in price due to a RS, but do not want to sell out of my position in the non-retirement account, since if I buy back it will start the long term holding period for 1 year all over again. Would a better strategy be to take up a short position of lets say 50,000 shares. Pros or Cons appreciated. I do believe in PPHM for the long term, but still would like to protect myself in case of a disaster.
