US side of the Falls is awesome...you can get up real close & personal vs the CAN side that is a major tourist rip off with real expensive restaurants & Casinos that you can't smoke in nor do they give you free booze...
The taxi driver advised me not to walk around the American side at night. It looked pretty rough although yes the Canadian side is a lot more costly. Much better views from Canada though. I probably won't come back anytime soon so I decided to donate my money to Canada
