Good morning Zeev,

SPX and DOW off to fresh lows for the year.

SOX, NAS and NDX hanging tough. IMHO these three have already put in their lows for this onslaught.

Time for the techies to turn this ship around.

Steve

IN edit: SO much for my 1360-1400 no volatility into options expy comment yesterday. Instead looks like aquick drop to 1330 rising to 1380 day to me.

Ze'ev... do you think the "options killers" will target $24 on the QQQ's, now, instead of $25?

Hi Zeev:

For those who may not know of the BP’s

$BPNYA
http://stockcharts.com/webcgi/Pnf.asp?s=$BPNYA

The NASDAQ BP
http://stockcharts.com/webcgi/Pnf.asp?s=$BPCOMPQ

The NASDAQ 100
http://stockcharts.com/webcgi/Pnf.asp?s=$BPNDX

I’d recommend people to bookmark and / or join stockcharts and also read up on point & figure charting for the BP’s.

Tim

Zeev, draw a trendline on the BPNDX chart and you'll see it is at a point where it should turn back down.

That early in the day we have slow downs here on IHUB? Let's hope it does not continue today.

Zeev, I think a lot of the slowness lately has been internet-related, rather than IHUB.

FWIW, I just saw a notice on CNBS from WCOME, saying they have enough cash to operate for only four to five days. While I don't think the govt is about to let them shut down their backbones, I have to think that morale among their employees must be quite low.

It seems likely, therefore, that their maintenance people probably are not exactly on top of things the way they should be.

A couple days ago there was a big trunk line down someplace in the midwest, right? And yesterday there was some kind of screwup that took SI down, (or at least made it inaccessible to most of us), for several hours.

I don't know if either of these specific events were connected to WCOME in any way, but I think that such things will probably happen with more frequency for a while because WCOME owns/operates so much of the net.

Does this make sense, or is my Lithuanian accent too thick this morning? I can't tell -- the coffee seemed to work for a while, but now I'm fading again. <ggg
