I called Scottrade and asked about the trading halt today by Scottrade and not Ameritrade or ETrade. The supervisor I talked to said it was halted by the DTC because of a 'FAIL TO DELIVER' issue. Scottrade said the DTC put a global chill on the stock. It seems Ameritrade and ETrade us other clearing houses. Scottrade could not tell me how long the halt would be in place or how it would be resolved. It was just company policy to halt trading on any stock that was placed on a global chill by the DTC.
