Golfbum, the only solution to the problem is to demonstrate this bank that they are stockpiling the emergency supply of Opterons and that they can fix any medium fab damage (not like 1945 American bombing) before this stock is off. I also expect they have to insure the fab well.

The market with such requirements is not huge. When AMD gets the 90 nm Opteron they can start stockpiling it.

Golfbum - I'd think it'd be more the OEM rather than a bank that'd be concerned with that.
