brudiver, Please do not take this the wrong way. It is not meant to be negative.

My understanding is that the Government of Ecuador passed new laws concerning treasure hunting last year. My understanding of that law is that ALL TREASURE is being kept by the Government of Ecuador, the only exception is that for Gold or silver the government will pay the bullion value for the silver or gold to the salvor.

ie..A silver coin that weighs one ounce, that could have an historical value of $1000, is now only worth the $18 that the government is giving the salvor for an ounce of silver that he salvaged.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm right, I don't know how ORRV can even cover the cost of a salvage without going deeply in the RED.
