And I would submit that a "level headed" CEO does everything in his power to confront and address any obstacle to success that he encounters.
Where was the rumor and speculation? Do you know EXACTLY what was happening here? Are you sure that wasn't an orchestrated attempt by a competitor to throw up roadblocks for this new product? Millions of dollars will prompt some people to go to extremes. Did you happen to notice that at least three posters showed up here within days or even hours of each other, posted only on this board, and did their level best to slam the new product? Admin booted one, another just disappeared and the third posted a mea culpa......twice.
I'm not much into conspiracy theories and we may never know the minutia of this thing but, before you criticize a CEO for any given action, you just might want to understand EVERYTHING that prompted him to undertake such an action. You don't have enough information to criticize his actions. It's quite possible that his reaction had less to do with the PPS and much more to do with safeguarding the wellbeing of the overall company or the new product. I don't know what happened here either, but I'm not about to criticize something I don't fully understand.
