That is ridiculous. I know so many people who have had issues with taxes, and most of them are great people. Just because someone had some disagreements about taxes 7 years ago does not make them any more or less capable of running a company.

I worked for someone that owned 5 different companies. He first got in trouble with some and filed bk. Then on his 3rd company he started did well and got rich. Sold it for 50 million so more then cover the 3 to 5 he lost with others.

So if your point is somehow failing before means much it doesn't. In fact most rich people have failed before but learned from mistakes and got rich. What makes them succeed is not did they fail or not before but they never give up.
