That's one of the most profound statements ever made on this board. It's profoundly true, and one can't help but think the two are related.

I'd actually like to see more discussion on the Bible and other religious type topics. After all, religion is one of the most powerful influences out there. It reaches into the inner man and the very heart and soul. To many, it is more precious than life itself, like freedom to choose and take responsibility for one's own actions. That's why americans were and are great: it's because they believed in doing good and were willing to live good. As goodness declines, so does greatness.

With all the uncertainty in today's world it's somewhat of a comfort knowing through Bible prophecy how things are going to turn out.

Over 300 passages from the Old Testament came true during Jesus' time. If they came true then how can anyone not believe that the other 500 plus prophecies foretelling the second coming will not soon be fulfilled.
