#41297 RE: golfin #41295

Golfin, my standard is the scientific method, and will promote it whenever possible. All I mean by this is test, test, test, and then objectively analyze results. If a strategy clearly isn't working, throw it out. Be ruthless with self-honesty. Examine results to see whether they are falling into the 50-50 probability range of 40 to 60 percent accuracy. If you really know something, your market calls and trades ought to hit somewhere above 70 percent.

The charts don't say buy long at this moment. I was simply pointing out that the NYAD would be an iffy clue at best as a signal of a top. What I'm seeing as of tonight is a period of consolidation and possible pullback followed by more upside action as indicated in the several charts I posted today. If I get a different signal, I will post it here immediately.

The short opportunity appears minimal and not generally recommended in a situation where the NYLOW chart remains flat down--and an increasing number of winning stocks is brimming to the surface of the market as indicated by the recent surge in the NYHGH chart. The Hurst cycles also suggest higher highs for October. No guarantee, mind you. I'm holding a small short position and expect only a crumb.

My standard in communication is not to compete writer against writer, trader against trader, but idea against idea. The free competition of ideas has led to the amazing business breakthroughs we've seen in the last 150 years.

I have no interest in competing my money against your money or my trades against your trades. Golfin, I would love to see you practicing my trading method and winning with an 80 percent accuracy rate. That would be awesome to see. And if you were willing to post your trades live, so much the better.

Someone wrote recently it takes real confidence and guts to post live trades. I agree with that assessment. There is simply no reason, benefit, or incentive to post my trades. I give my best analysis and will continue to do so. That's good enough for me. ;)
