I think you are only looking at companies that were already doing bad. In that case then yes a R/S does not help. However with companies with strong fundamentals a reverse split can help. In this case it will help us get to the NASDAQ a lot quicker.

historically, it is done as a save face effort to keep a stock above the minimum needed for listing.

You are looking at the hundreds of companies that have used it when they have already gone down in flames, not when the company is growing as it has been.

Holy Cow, you must be new here. The R/S is their only way, albeit only short term way, to get uplisted. This then makes them qualified since they have everything else to get there. Once up-listed, the benefit comes from having big money come into play if the PRs on their financial growth are real and accurate which I/most believe they are.

The R/S will happen IMO. So be prepared for it and make investment decisions on it happening.
