Good morning all. I just have to respond to these people who think that this will become a $5 stock after the split.
After the split we will have only 5 mil shares outstanding,(just going by what the company stated earlier to bring o/s down to 500 mil will result in 5 mil after split.)
Earnings of 11 mil for 2009 will bring a $2.20 per share earnings after split.
What Institutional investors will pass up a $5 stock making $2.20 per share.
Going forward this stock should make at least $8 per share, for 2010, and to me that is being very conservative @ 5 mil shares outstanding. Who would buy and sell a stock for $5 when it is then making $8 per share?
So, in my opinion, I honestly think that the split price has already been factored in for this particular stock. I know everyone says that all stocks go down after the split, but most other stocks split when the announcement is made, not a two week notice.
Late friday we saw some buying, I believe we will see that continue from the open tomorrow right through the close on Tuesday. After that will be the split and the Institutions will start to accumulate like they have never done before, especially if we can do this after the 10K posting. That, I will admit, is a sticking point we do need to get past.
What an exciting week we have to look forward to.
