Not the new one, sure. I was referring to the one already awarded and in works and the ones that comes with STS under EVRM umbrella. STS has been awarded many contracts and they are working on many GSA, DOD contracts for the past many years.

there are contracts that are going and for multi-year .... these have nothing to do with the new fiscal year IMO

learningasitgoes: I work for DoD Contracting. All our contractors are working overtime to award the final money for the year in order not to lose any. Government agencies do put a cutoff/stop on current spending, HOWEVER, budgeted money still has to be awarded....and there is a lot of it at year end. One problem is some government agencies do
not use their money and it must be transfered
and awarded to a new company (that's one reason for all the overtime). The money will go somewhere...it's always in the queue.

learningasitgoes...

I personally spoke to a Commander in the Air Force who is a Contracting Officer who has told me that such could very well be quite the contrary. I have to agree with him from some of my experiences in the Air Force too in dealing with quite a few contracts in the past.

A lot of times there is what is called "fall out money" that has to be disseminated before the start of the new fiscal year; 1 Oct 09.

Whether we see them or not in Sep 09, contracts have and will be issued all the way up to the last day of the fiscal year; 30 Sep 09.

Still, the monies that I believe are allocated for any of the contracts EVRM or STS already have (and will get for this fiscal year) are already budgeted in for funds allocated for this fiscal year.
