stumiller, you are correct, we don't mine any data from customer tapes. Some of our work maybe classified and we don't need the secret service and nsa knocking on our door. I believe what the ibox referes to is the mining of JB private collection and even that I'm not sure to be correct as that is not the purpose of the company, JB does that in his own time. JB has amassed his collection from tapes he has bought in bulk over the years and I have no idea what his plans are, if any, with interesting research he has found. I think the PRs, job postings and filings have stated what the current company goals are: recover of data from 7,9 and 28 track tapes, cartridges, fiches and film; Plastic to Oil, chemical products and acquisitions.

I think down the road, efforts will be made to fully 'mine' this data......at present, like rpg said, it's just John perusing the data in his spare time........z
