Before my wife and I built our house, we would go by the land where it was to be built and have a picnic where we thought the kitchen would be and we woould let our kids toddle around where the back yard was planned. Not once did we bitch because roof leaked - BECAUSE IT WASN'T BUILT YET!!! When you get in on the ground floor, you get in before it is worth anything - and hope for the best.
