spree... I mean... c'mon.

the estimate is not scientific? Of course not but the point is that the vast majority of people working there are left of center and supporters of Bush are few and far between. And this is at NBC, which in my opinion is the least biased of the big 3 networks. Think about it-- the people working at these stations are people who went to great colleges but chose a job where they'd kill themselves for no money for the chance to "make a difference"... the republican college grads I know don't tend to take that path for whatever reason- hey greed is good as the man in your sig would say :)

Re: my aside about the Daily Show-- Jon Stewart is funny and I've been watching Daily Show since the Craig Kilborn days so I've seen the evolution from completely apolitical to mildly political to pretty strongly political and completely skewed towards the left. if you deconstruct his jokes about campaign issues they're essentially the same exact Dem talking points you'd find in the New York Times, but in humorous form. For example they did a bit the other night splicing Allawi's speech with some Bush speeches, insinuating that Allawi was given his speech by Republicans, a point made by several left-wing columnists in column form. To me a joke that's at its core (beyond the humorous presentation) a serious political point in favor of one candidate is not as funny as a joke that exists only to be funny, but that's just me. You see more and more of that on the Daily Show these days.

Some of the correspondent bits, especially Steven Colbert make that show worth it though

by the way there have been actual polls done on % of people who voted for Clinton/Dole, Gore/Bush among employees at the major networks that have shown a major skew towards the Dem candidate. I would expect that skew will be even sharper for this election.
