you neglect the overall meaning of a RS... if I had 100k yes I have 1000 after it is said and done...

Also if there was 500 million shares OS there will be 5 million shares OS after the split...

I was no math major in college but 100k\500 million = 1000\5 million

You neglect the fact that in this scenario, your 1000 shares would be worth 100 times what the price was trading at before the split.
