I also have two friends who told me they are out of the market in the last 2 weeks. One is buying several rental properties. The other sold all his mutual funds and is in cash. If this isn't capitulation then I don't know what else to call it. These guys will probably never go back in so there is a loss of buying power forever. The shorts and hedge funds in particular have done their damage but looks like they give some back today.
