so janice, tell me, are you saying that other MM's should not be permanently expelled if they are found to have effected 2,192 short sales in connection with speculative proprietary trading activities that did not qualify as bona fide market making activities.
because i beleive that would represent one single week of activity for any of a number of them, especially the ones that also have hedge funds within the realm their corporate umbrella.
i have watched dozens of co's get hit hard when they were capitalizing.
in fact? based on what i have watched i would be surprised to find any market makers that haven't done this.
let's hope this kind of scrutiny continues, it ia s after all what we hoped for
