this was the last public announcement. Public companies cannot make a buck with placer deposits. This was a joke for years in Ghana.

It must have a Ghanaian sub that would probably still be in existance in Ghana, what happened to the assets?

It amazes me how public companies can just disintegrate like this and leave shareholders out in the cold. I know of another one like this in 1999, except that it happened with about 300 million of debt.

All of the directors and officers of the Corporation have resigned their positions with the Corporation. As previously announced, the Corporation has petitioned Bonte Gold Mines Limited (“Bonte”), its 85%-controlled Ghanaian subsidiary that operates the Bonte gold mine and holds a 30-year mining lease on the Esaase property, into official liquidation in Ghana. As a result of the petitioning of Bonte into official liquidation and the resignation of all of the directors and officers of the Corporation, the Corporation has ceased operations.
