yeah, i think if MD intent is to reward his shareholders through dividends (more so than through the pps) then they want to trickle out enough to satisfy the longs to prevent a hugh spike in pps so they can buyback more shares. I don't think MD plans on selling any of his shares so he would benefit the most through dividend if they could retire as many shares as possible at these prices.
