I know one thing for sure, if commons are cancelled Craig better dig a big hole and hide in it. B/C not only hasn't he come out publically and said they would be cancelled but his actions have indicated the exact opposite. Issuing them to employees only to take them away would not look very good in the eyes of the 40 and 50 year old Chemtura employees who are counting on that savings for retirement. Someone mentioned in most BK cases where commons are cancelled, the CEO indicates this up front, or at least mentions that it's a strong possiblility and CERTAINLY doesn't push through an employee stock incentive plan and issue them to his employees. I think they do this to protect themselves from having a price put on their head if commons are cancelled. ;)
This would be a career ending move for him, at least an end to his future with Chemtura. I doubt he wants this to be his legacy, that he wiped out the retirement savings of thousands of hardworking Chemtura employees and didn't even give them any warning so they could move their investments or make adjustments. JMO
