bblack, let me add something to those for Bulletin Board stocks.

stop = market order when limit price is reached(get screw by MM that will walk you down another 10%)

stop limit= limit order when limit price is reached(get screw by MM by jumping over your price, render your stop useless).

bottom line is... don't use stop with BB stocks with limit or no volume. Personally, I watch it almost every day and still be able to keep a Long perpective of the investment. I went through so many dips and now basically waiting for oil.
