Would you or yours have gone to a "political" rally to demonstate your grief for the loss of someone you love or to demonstrate political activism?

Mainehiker, point well taken. "Losing our humanity" is a terrifying concept.

Maine,

This has been in my mind a good deal, lately.

I dislike troublemakers who disrupt public affairs, but darned if I don't think this woman had a good question that deserved an answer.

Who DID kill her son ... and why?

In a country which prides itself on granting everyone the right of free speech, arresting a distraught mother because she protested the loss of her son seems a bit extreme. Is it radical of me to imagine this case deserves greater attention?

Could you supply a name of the woman or link to this event? Or is this first hand knowledge? Did your see this happen?

IMO, Her son is dead because he was called upon to fight a war against terrorism. He answered that call, and now has given the ultimate sacrifice. A mother's grief is truly heart wrenching, but she chose the wrong place to demonstrate it. Congressional inquiries would have been a better way to go about it, imo.

The President did not kill her son- lawless criminals did.
