you are absolutely correct.Before i became a chartists i did only fundamental picks...but that works only in certain situations. Market conditions must be right,stock must have good earnings if not consistent,must have huge growth potential etc.... I remember back in 2000 i think it was i bought 15 share of Qualcomm just before they announced a 4 for 1 stock split and the stock would go up sometimes 20 points in a day...and yea i said a DAY. It was easy during the dot.com bubble. Now the market is so completely different that you cant count on that unless its a bio-tech and you get lucky....you have to rely on charts. Even cramer who use to make fun of chartists openly admits to having them on the payroll. It covers his butt.Fundamentals and Technicals walk hand in hand but the percentage that one walks in front of the other differs in the journey.
