Sir, your impassioned plea for stockholders to set salaries, perks, bonuses, and other emoluments for the rapacious corporate capitalists falls on deaf ears.

The game is that The Lot skims the cream. It is a trickle-down game. Risk is rewarded!

As a shareholder with my Oracle investments in our Roth IRAs, I will be happy to have a few bux to spend in my very, very old age from Larry's game.

Sorry that I can't dispute your thrust; undoubtedly you have it correct. But remember, in the US of A, greed is a major driving force. My personal physician now runs a medical office factory; decades ago, he would spend at least ten (10) or fifteen (15) minutes when I paid an office visit. If I was hospitalized, he would come to see me, read the charts, and give me an honest prognosis. Now, if he is in the same timezone with me for three (3) or four (4) minutes, I consider it a PERSONAL office visit. We now have hospitalists to tend to patients; my doctor not only doesn't make home visits, he doesn't make hospital visits, either!

He spends a month in his place on Maui and a month in the South of France at a villa every year, plus other trips. He is a successful American businessman, primarily; his medical education and skills were but tools to his wealth and comfort. All IMHO.
