That puzzles me too spp119 unless this was known by Sinopec and "included" in the buyout.
It seems that there is a lot more going on than we suspected.

Anyway It's good to come home from a "hard days fishing" and see your stocks went up considerable :-)

spp119...it looks like SNP will....

simply keep Addax as a wholly owned subsidiary of SNP....why lose all the "Goodwill" that Addax has built in Africa over the years. Addax has a very good name in Africa. Addax's public stock will be gone however.

It's sort of like when Chrysler bought Jeep....why get rid of the Jeep name?

What do you expect them to do? Companies DO NOT stop normal business activities just because they are in the process of being bought out. To do so would be foolish for both of the companies involved. Addax will continue doing busisness just like every other company in that situation would do. At this point, Addax may even be discussing it with SNP.

Addax is still Addax and will operate as Addax for the forseeable future. Sinopec just owns all of the stock.

Addax is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sinopec.
