No. Very, very, very few people get free accounts, and we'd never give one in return for spamming. Personally, while you can characterize my own participation on SI any way you want (I don't consider it spamming), I would not encourage spamming us anywhere. It doesn't reflect well on us.
On a related note, my daughter and I were walking through a local (if anything is truly "local" from my perspective) mall yesterday when I picked her up from an activity, when we noticed a bunch of brightly-colored business cards spread out all over the floor. It was like a 500-pack had been throw into the air from 3 stories up and allowed to land everywhere.
I pointed to the floor and said "spam".
She was laughing all the way through the mall.
Guess you had to be there. <g>
We always call unwanted stuff in the mailbox "virtual spam".
