Welles: The awful creation of "funny money", [this is inflation...rising prices are a consequence of inflation] from 1965-1980 forced an awful lot of families to need two wage earners just to pay the bills. I don't think things go "splat" when the money-printers run amok. I think economic activity tends to slow down and I think that an awful lot of people/families get financially hurt.
