LOL Basic math can be tricky, is that what your riddle proves? 30-3-2 = 25 not 30-3+2. Debits and credits are confusing.

If the total paid was $9 then you would only be trying to find $27 not $30. $3*$9 = $27.

They each paid 9.33, not 9 dollars, therein lies the problem.

Each paid $9, but that included the $2 for the bellhop. So 3 x $9 = $27, less $2 for the bellhop = $25
