I think most of us appreciate
how a significant portion of the ten years was necessary to build the products, test them, and put the word out, and overcome the not-invented-here resistance.
I do not think most of us can appreciate what an enormous amount of effort, time, and money it takes our target companies to evaluate: 1. our claims, 2. our data, 3. our products themselves; and then to verify all the same independently. And then, to do exactly the same for all contestants showing any level of merit; and then to compare the outcomes and debate them internally; and then to send it all to finance and wait on them. And I have no doubt that when finance comes back there is a new contestant banging on the door saying they have not been considered and they have the very latest. And since the amounts of money are huge, what do they say? "Sorry, too late." ?
Somewhere, somehow, there has to be closure, but this process has a huge time requirement, and it is not even far to call such diligence "delay."
