Engineered Construction Solutions

ECSI was established in 2007 as a private corporation to develop and market a proprietary system of Structural Insulating Mineral Foam (SIM-F) for Construction and Civil Engineering Applications. There was a perceived need for more innovative solutions in the building and engineering sector based on shortages of Portland Cement from time to time in both North America and around the world.

Eliminating Portland Cement was also seen as a much greener solution considering that it alone is reported to be responsible for between 5 and 10 percent of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Success came a year later when formulas and mix criteria were worked out in the Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta Canada test labs and R&D Shops. The final products now include Insulating Foams that either do not support combustion or can be fire rated at 1 hour per inch of thickness.

The material inherently has load bearing capacities and can be submitted to test labs based on customer criteria for both building and civil engineering projects in any country and for any climate. Although there may be hundreds of filler materials that can be incorporated into the product at least the majors of fly ash, mine tailings and variety of waste agricultural products have been demonstrated as environmental solutions and in some cases hazardous waste encapsulation solutions.

The exceptional sound attenuation properties are getting attention in all urban and multi-family or senior complex types of construction however the product shines again when adding this to rural or very remote construction where surrounding forests or community fire fighting is a challenge.

ECSI will promote these features to insurance companies for better rates to innovative developers who use ECSI wall systems and siding and shingles to all but eliminate total loss from fire and very high wind, tornado and earthquake destruction.

Corporations that are creative and provide services that show themselves to be environmentally responsible, able to create and save energy, have safer products that meet the common and humanitarian needs of 1st world and 3rd world populations will survive and then thrive as they are recognized and accepted into the mainstream of construction solutions.

ECSI has all of the endearing qualities required to succeed as a popular solution and be environmentally a part of the solution as opposed to the problem and gain market acceptance for business and commerce at a very aggressive rate. The simple math of any recession has been that where the economy has dropped off by 10 or 20 percent the remaining 80 percent or so of the contract work to be done will go to the most competitive bidder with the more creative solutions for the times.

ECSI is certainly positioned to be a front runner in such an economy with few peers if any in its market. 2009 is a growth year for ECSI as it takes its success in R&D and transitions it out into the market by developing application equipment now being designed according to the various industries that are applying for tailored solutions on their shop floor. Often this is the first opportunity there specific industries have had for change and improvement in decades and in some cases centuries.

This product looks like a far superior product than cement, from all angles. Once word gets out about it's many uses for building, things are going to soar for this company.
