No, I do not. You state that RECAF would just be another tool to use. I do not think that will ever happen. If DR70 was selling well along with the HAAH test, I would agree but those two universal markers have no market.
The prostate study done in 2004 just prior to the license with Abbott indicated NO FALSE POSITIVES (100% specificity) and 94% sensitivity. Those were fantastic numbers and if true, could very well cure the false positive problems with the PSA test for Abbott. Those number proved to be incorrect with later studies and at that point, you could assume that it would certainly NOT cure the false positive problem with PSA. At that point, Abbott even licensed another prostate cancer test, PCADM-1, but a year later dropped that one also.
The only confusing issue was why Abbott allowed their employee, Stephen Frost, to present at the ISOBM. (BTW, he is no longer employed by Abbott and 6 months ago he was working for a sub penny biotech in Canada.) Frost was attending with another product anyway so it did not cost Abbott anything but it did indeed cause me to buy stock.
Also, Moro even stated that the progress Abbott was making and the presentation at the ISOBM was a factor in their being able to sign Inverness. Inverness and I both got sucked into investing. Will Inverness now proceed without Abbott. Remember, Wittenberg had access to those progress reports and he resigned. My guess is that Inverness will be gone also.
