Listener It only makes sense to make more on higher fuel costs. Like my trucking business I make more as fuel goes up. Last year this time I was collecting a fuel surcharge of .73 per mile. This year Now I am collecting .23 per mile. My profit margin is now lower as I make 7.5 miles to the gallon or fuel surcharge of about 5.50 toward a gallon at 4.90. The airlines also have fuel surcharge on the tickets now. Hope this helps you.
