You sure your looking at the CMC? Not a major hurricane? They are definitely forcasting a major although as you say they are normally over the top.

The ECMWF is forcasting a major hurricane and when it develops anything its serious, let alone something with that many isobars.

Im not looking at the ECMWF but not surprising it has it reducing its windspeed over the islands as you know land masses disrupt circulations.

I will put it this way, this is the best shot at developing since Hurricane Dean 2 years ago IMO with this many models on board
