nothing new about that concept - that has been bandied about for a long time, even here. So many on the other "side" wanted desperately to see the 48 patent die via the re-exam, because it's the most elegant solution/system. Talk like this represents their Plan B. Not everyone wants to pay to play, and I suspect that may startups can't afford to pay to play.
