As I ran a vehicle on used Veggie oil, the only issue to running it at 100% was that if the vehicle sat for several hours without running, the oil started to thicken and it made it hard to start (see my first couple of post}. If I was using clean unused oil, it would not do that but used oil has all kinds of extra proteins and fats in it causing it to thicken when it gets close to room temp. I would guess that the Bio-oil will not have that issue since it is clean and pure oil. I ran both Veggie oil and diesel without any modifications to the engine by ways of a bypass switch. I did have to put a heated tank to keep the oil hot so it would flow.
I could not run my truck on pure clean oil due to the cost of buying a gal of Crisco oil was at least twice that of diesel. This Bio-oil looks like it solves the cost issue of having the clean oil vs used cooking oil. This process is not new, only doing it at a profit is new. There was a project in AZ that did the process in a 3 step system. However, it failed after a year or so because it was more dependent of getting carbon credits vs a viable product at a profit.
I have used up my post quota for the day.
