Revelation 21

1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.

6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

9And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.

14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.

16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.

17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.

19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;

20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolyte; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.

26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.

27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

~*~ We shall behold JESUS ~*~ When we truly repent of our sins and accept Jesus Christ as our Savior, we can be saved and be born again.

Then, the Spirit of GOD will lead and guide us each day, as we ask GOD to direct our path to do His Will.

Our lives on this earth is like a dew under sun but the Eternity is forever.

We are living in the End time, and when ALL heard of the Gospel, we will see the Coming of our LORD, Jesus Christ. How much have you spend your time for the Kingdom of GOD - spreading the Gospel as commended by the Jesus Christ in Matthew 28. We are living in the End time, so let us do the Work for the Kingdom of GOD which is only counting toward the Kingdom GOD everlasting.

Praise GOD, may the LORD COME!
Revelation 21-22 and Matthew 24

We can be saved by Accepting Jesus as the Lord and Savior, as Jesus said, "I am the Way and the Life, No one comes to the Father except through me" as in John 14:6

We can not enter into the Kingdom of GOD by doing good works because we will never be justified through our works because human beings are fallen through the Adam and Eve, but only through Jesus Christ, we can be saved through the Grace of GOD shown through Jesus dying on the cross for our sins. Jesus also said, NOT ALL who says "Lord, Lord" will enter the Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven will enter. Matthew 7:21

So we need to seek and to do the Will of God in our lives as you face each day with choices which you need to make how you are going to spend your life as the choices are given whether you spend your life for the Kingdom of God or for the earthly things and sagas.

In order to be saved, you need to truly repent and accept the LORD as the Savior, and ask God to lead you, Christians, to live according to His Will, not your will.

True conversion which is noted as "Born-again" happens when you truly believe in GOD and repent. Then accept the Lord Jesus as your Savior. Then, learn, pray, and ask GOD to lead you each day to understand the Will of God each day.

Praise GOD ~

~ Agape love ~ PRAISE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! Come, the LORD JESUS!

<< 1 Christians 13:8>> Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Blessing of God through Jesus Christ is showing in "the Beatitudes" in Matthew 5.

Many Christians confuse loving the Lord and others like how God loves us with loving the things of the world and loving the ways of this world has to offer.

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Luke 16:9-13).

You cannot serve God and Mammon/God and Mammon

You cannot serve God and Mammon

“And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?

No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” (Luke 16:9-13).

How can we make friends of the mammon of unrighteousness? If you have a friend who has earthly riches, you have to befriend him by remaining faithful to him in money matters. You have to win his confidence by your faithfulness. He will definitely help you when you are in a financial crisis. You cannot win a rich friend if you are not faithful to him in money matters.

Money is no doubt the mammon of unrighteousness. But you have to spend it frugally, not in a lavish manner, and for the purposes for which is intended. If you are not faithful in that which is least, that is the mammon of unrighteousness, you will never be definitely faithful in much. If you are faithful in the matter of the mammon of unrighteousness, you will be faithful also in much. If you are unjust in the least, you will also be unjust in much. “Much” means the true riches where least means the mammon of unrighteousness.

The litmus test for a budding Christian minister is the money or the mammon of unrighteousness. If he fails to remain faithful in financial matters by overspending his available resources or by spending the same in a reckless manner for things which are not absolutely necessary for his ministry, he cannot be trusted by God for inheriting the true riches. If he covets the mammon of unrighteousness for his ministry, he does not remain faithful in the least because covetousness of material possession is against God’s will (Luke 12:15). If he spends the mammon of unrighteousness for the purposes of evangelism or God’s ministry in a frugal manner, he remains faithful in the least and will remain faithful in much and God will commit the true riches to him. Today, many ministers of God who have coveted the mammon of unrighteousness and used the same for building their own empires on this earth do not possess the true riches of God. The mammon of unrighteousness is visible whereas the true riches are invisible. The true riches are unseen virtues of righteousness and moral rectitude. The true riches are unseen virtues of humility and selflessness. The true riches are unseen virtues of simplicity and longsuffering.

Jesus had the true riches in His ministry. He led a very simple life. Jesus could have trained and taught His disciples to inherit the mammon of unrighteousness. But He asked them to carry “neither purse, nor scrip nor shoes” but to remain in the same house, “eating and drinking such things as they give: for the laborer is worthy of his hire” (Luke 10:4 and 7). I am not advocating here that a traveling minister of God in these days should not carry his purse or credit card or his shoes. But I add here that he should not covet purse or script or shoes.

There is not a single passage in the gospels where Jesus is found soliciting funds either for Him or for His disciples. When He had no money to pay taxes, He asked Peter to go to the sea to look for a fish. When He was hungry, He looked towards the fig tree for fruits. The true riches possessed by Him resulted in great blessings upon those who sought His ministry. He healed all the sick that approached Him. He fed all the people through the five loaves of bread and two fishes. Today, we find in many miracle or healing crusades that the majority of the sick people return home empty handed without receiving healing. All the people who attend the meetings are not blessed. It is because the ministers of God concerned do not possess the true riches. They covet offerings from those who would receive blessings or healing through their ministries and also they do not lead the simple life that their Master led. Sadhu Sundar Singh of India had the true riches and people all over the world saw Christ in him. A true minister of God does possess the true riches because God has committed the same to him after testing him through the mammon of unrighteousness.

The mammon of unrighteousness does not belong to us at all. It belongs to another man i.e. the owner of this world. If we are not faithful in the things that do not belong to us, how can God give us the true riches which are meant for us or which belong to us? God wants us to remain faithful in the matter of the mammon of unrighteousness so that we may inherit the true riches from Him.

What happens in our wonderful Christian ministries which were begun by the servants of God concerned with much ado in the beginning? No doubt, God did entrust them with these great ministries by giving them the mammon of unrighteousness. But in the long run, they became a prey to the mammon of unrighteousness by covetousness. In the beginning, they used to count and value every single penny given as sacrificial offerings by the people of God. But afterwards, when their coffers overflowed with the mammon of unrighteousness, they did not realize the value of the same amount of money that they had once received. For example, a minister of God in the earlier days of his ministry accepted with thanksgiving unto God even a sum of $10 or Rs.450/-. But when he starts receiving more offerings in terms of thousands of dollars every month, he does not realize the value of $10.

During my prophetic session in Delhi, I teach about ten students who hail from poor financial background. Yet I do not call them “poor” at all because I teach them to inherit the true riches and not the mammon of unrighteousness. I taught them to be dependent upon God 100% for their daily living and not to let anyone know their needs. On a particular day of the class, one student had no money to pay for his bus-fare to attend my class. He came to my class walking all the way from his house. The same student had no money in his house for celebrating his daughter’s birthday. On the birth day of his daughter, he did not have a single penny in his pocket and he did not ask his senior pastor for money but prayed to God as advised by me. At that time, the Holy Spirit led a believer to give him a ten rupee note without his asking. For him, the ten rupee note was very precious and he bought some sweet for his daughter. When he testified this miracle to me during the class, I told him that he should remember this incident for ever and that when God gives him a greater ministry, he should not forget this incident and should realize the value of this ten rupee note. For me, a 100 rupee currency note has no value but for this student, a 10 rupee note had great value. At the close of the session, I gave him a hundred rupee note and asked to spend this money and to give me a report as to how he has spent that money.

Ultimately, Jesus warns us against serving the two masters i.e. God and the mammon of unrighteousness. We cannot serve both of them at all. If we serve the mammon of unrighteousness, we despise God. There is no “in between” service. If we look at a particular ministry of today through our prophetic eyes, we do see the embodiment of the mammon of unrighteousness enthroned thereon which is apparent through the extravagance and superfluous assets of the minister of God concerned. No doubt, a minister of God is required to lead a decent and comfortable life and to posses such assets that are absolutely necessary for God’s work. But he should not “own” such assets either in his own name or in the names of his family members. Such assets should be owned and administered by his faithful co-workers as God’s stewards.

Dear minister of God, you may be thinking that by preaching the gospel or by performing signs and wonders in Jesus’ Name, you are serving God. But if you serve the mammon of unrighteousness by covetousness, you cannot be serving God.

GOD AND MAMMON

It is interesting to see that even though Jesus referred to Satan as "the ruler of this world" (John 14:30), He never referred to Satan as the alternative master to God, whom people have the choice of serving. When Jesus spoke of two masters whom man could serve, He said that the two were God and Mammon (Luke 16:13). In Christendom, generally speaking, preachers have always urged people to choose between God and Satan. Jesus however urged people to choose between God and Mammon.

Satan is a master schemer. He knows that if people are told to choose between God and Satan, no-one will choose Satan. But when the choice is between God and Mammon, Satan knows that even believers will find it difficult to make a decisive choice.

Satan knows that most Christians choose their jobs and their place of residence, etc., based on their passion for Mammon (property and money) rather than on any desire for the promotion of God's kingdom. Satan knows that all such believers are useless for God's purposes, irrespective of the amount of religious activity they engage in.

Satan also knows that most of the Christian work in the world is more dependent on Mammon (money and property) than on the power of the Holy Spirit. Satan knows that all such Christian work will not have any eternal value - even if the reports of such work appear impressive when presented attractively by "public relations experts" in colourful Christian magazines!!

We must not be ignorant of Satan's wiles. It is against Satan's wiles that we are told to stand firm, and not against his wrath (Eph.6:11). Satan's wrath has never hindered the work of God at any time. Persecution has only made the church of Jesus Christ flourish in every country and at all times. But Satan has often succeeded with his wiles, where he has failed to accomplish anything with his wrath (see Rev.12:11,12).

Satan is happy to be hidden out of sight, because he knows that he can deceive people better that way. He knows very well that when a believer is influenced by the love of mammon in his decisions, he is actually serving the prince of Mammon, even if he imagines that he is serving God!!

When a believer's attitude to Mammon is wrong, he will be wrong in every other area too - because he then becomes a part of this world system that our Lord came to destroy. Such a man is a traitor to the Lord's cause on earth, even though he may not realize it. He is actually working on Satan's side, without knowing it. This is the fundamental problem with many believers today. They have not understood Satan's schemes.

Before Jesus went to the cross, He told His disciples, "The prince of this world comes and he has no power over Me" (John 14:30 - Living). Mammon had no power over Jesus. And so Satan could find no foothold in Him and could not touch Him in any way. But Satan finds plenty of foothold through Mammon in the lives of most believers. Thus he is able to divert them from God's perfect plan for their lives.

Throughout the last 20 centuries, the greatest opposition for the Lord's servants has always come from "Christians" and so-called "believers" who are Biblical in all their doctrines except the doctrine of "the love of money"! It is not at all surprising that "believers" who worship Mammon oppose God's true prophets. Jesus Himself faced such opposition from the leaders of the Pharisees who had all their other doctrines right (Matt.23:3), but who loved and served Mammon (Luke 16:14).

Christians who pursue after Mammon have plenty of money to travel whenever they like, and wherever they like. They also have enough to buy whatever they like, whenever they like. Only lovers of Mammon can afford such expensive habits. But those who have an extravagant life-style can never be witnesses for the Lord in the midst of a suffering world.

It is dangerous to have money far beyond what we need. It was because Jonah had plenty of extra money that he could afford to buy a ticket to go to Tarshish - in plain disobedience to the Lord's command. How safe Jonah would have been from such a temptation, if he did not have any excess money available with him at that time.

It was to save His apostles from such temptations, that Jesus left them poor in the world. The Lord Who made Job, Abraham and David rich could easily have made His apostles rich too. But He didn't. Why? Because new-covenant apostles, unlike Old Testament saints, had to wage war against Satan. And when Satan came against them, it was essential that Satan should find "no love for Mammon in them"? Otherwise the Lord's purposes could never have been fulfilled through them.

What about you? When Satan comes against you, does he have power over you, because he finds the love of Mammon in you?

The battle against Satan is not fought on earth, but in "the heavenlies" (Eph.6:12). It is there that Satan's power has to be bound by us (Matt.18:18). Only those who are heavenly-minded can fight this battle. Those who love Mammon are earthly-minded and are useless in this battle. Satan knows that very well, even if believers don't.

In heaven, the saints walk on golden streets. Heaven has been prepared for those who have learnt to put gold under their feet even on earth. Our fasting and praying cannot accomplish God's purposes, if we love Mammon and are earthly-minded. It is only the prayer of "a righteous man" - one who has been freed from attachment to earthly things, like Elijah - whose prayers are effective before God (James 5:16,17). This is why God allows us at times, to lose large amounts of money - to deliver us from the love of Mammon and to make us effective for Him.

It will be very difficult for a disciple of Jesus if he is totally honest and wholehearted, to become rich through his business in a world that is under the dominion of Satan. To become a wealthy man in such a world, one would have to follow Satan's principles in some area or the other, and disobey the principles of God's Word. The Bible clearly says,

"Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction." (1 Tim.6:9). One who seeks to be "rich towards God" can never become "rich in this world" (Luke 12:21; 1 Tim.6:17).

This applies also to preachers who become rich through preaching the gospel and selling Christian books and tapes. Another gimmick these days, is to conduct tours to Israel

("the holy land"??). If a preacher can gather 10 people for a trip to Israel, the travel agent will give him one free ticket. All such preachers are worshipping "the golden calf" and are servants of Mammon, and not of the Lord Jesus Christ. [Someone asked me once if I had ever been to the holy land. I told him I was walking there every day!]

The "prosperity gospel" was invented in the latter half of the 20th century by Mammon-loving preachers who had to find some "Scriptural" explanation to justify their extravagant life-styles and the immense amount of wealth that they had accumulated from the tithes and offerings of their "devotees". So they hunted up Old Testament promises that God had given to Israel and began to proclaim those promises as the unfailing mark of God's blessing today. And money-loving believers gladly lapped up this new gospel!

A secular journalist in the U.S.A., who heard of such a church where the "prosperity gospel" was being preached, wanted to find out if this teaching really worked. So he went to the church's parking lot and checked out the makes of the cars parked there. He found that the cars parked in the spots reserved for the "Pastor" and "Assistant Pastors" were expensive cars!! But most of the other cars were cheap ones! He concluded that the "prosperity gospel" did work - but only for those who lived off the tithes and offerings of the congregation!! The rest of the congregation remained in the same condition that they had always been in!

Even in poor countries like India, preachers are becoming rich, off the tithes and offerings of poor people, through this counterfeit gospel.

What must the Lord think of the Christian "church" and its leaders today, who have pursued after Mammon, become tolerant of sin, and thus made themselves powerless in the battle against Satan. The gates of Hell have prevailed against this "church". And that is the clearest proof that this "church" is not the church that our Lord is building - for the powers of darkness can never prevail against that church (Matt.16:18).

Whenever a genuine Holy-Spirit revival comes anywhere, it will be a revival that delivers believers from the love of Mammon. Only such a revival will drive the prince of Mammon out of the church.

Any other so-called "revival" is a counterfeit.

He who has ears to hear let him hear.

2 Corinthians 12

1It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

2I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

3And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)

4How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

5Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities.

6For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.

7And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

10Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

11I am become a fool in glorying; ye have compelled me: for I ought to have been commended of you: for in nothing am I behind the very chiefest apostles, though I be nothing.

12Truly the signs of an apostle were wrought among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds.

13For what is it wherein ye were inferior to other churches, except it be that I myself was not burdensome to you? forgive me this wrong.

14Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

15And I will very gladly spend and be spent for you; though the more abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

16But be it so, I did not burden you: nevertheless, being crafty, I caught you with guile.

17Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?

18I desired Titus, and with him I sent a brother. Did Titus make a gain of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?

19Again, think ye that we excuse ourselves unto you? we speak before God in Christ: but we do all things, dearly beloved, for your edifying.

20For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

21And lest, when I come again, my God will humble me among you, and that I shall bewail many which have sinned already, and have not repented of the uncleanness and fornication and lasciviousness which they have committed. http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/47-83

1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

3And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

4And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

6And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

7Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

8And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.

9Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.

10And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.

11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

Revelation 22 The End of this corrupted world ~ 1And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

2In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

All those who choose to serve "Mammon" will be perished like those who were in the 911 WTC in Eternity in hell.

While those who died during the 911 with the LORD will live in Heaven, those who choose money over Jesus will eternally die in hell - Revelation 21:8.

Thus says the LORD.

Why would Obama/Soros want to destroy America?

That question could be rephrased as why any Jewish people would want to destroy America - is it possible? First of all, I want to make it clear that I have NO hate or prejudice against anyone or any race unless anyone is harming me in any way, then, I would defend. Now, back to the subject, I think that it is quite possible that any Israel/Jewish people could be offended or wanting to destroy America because America is built on the Christian Faith. Why that would matter to them or to any other faith? It is because what has been prophecized by Jesus and John in the Book of Revelation. They would want to destroy because they want to defend themselves as they are destined to be destroyed according to the Bible prophecies.

They would plan to destroy the United States otherwise they would be destroyed as we were a Christian Nation; therefore, we as a nation have been manipulated by the other faith to be corrupted, to be immoral, to be accused, to be separated, to be misled, and to be destroyed as a godly nation.

We are now less Christian nation than as we have been before -- just a few decades ago, as materialism has been penetrated to millions of Americans through media brain-wash through T.V. programs and movies.

Ultimately, naive Americans and many Christians have fallen into the hands of the manipulators using many different kinds of methods destroying the once godly nation, but now having financial trouble getting slowly destroyed by the materialism idol.

There are other possible reasons such as some are just plain evil.

We need to wake up as a nation to realize what is happening to us. Why others want to destroy the United States -- US. We need to do self-examination to recognize that we are no longer once we were just a few decades ago. The challenges for us to unite and to reignite our love for God are ever great, but when our God wills, nothing is impossible. God told me that He loves our nation and that He wants us to know that He loves us.

God is in conrol, and He will lead and guide us for His Glory!!

How God Uses Suffering, Part 2
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

As we come to this wonderful time in the Word of God together, I want to draw your attention back to the text of 2 Corinthians chapter 12. Although we certainly could spend much more time on the text, we'll...we'll end our brief series on verses 5 to 10 this morning. Second Corinthians 12:5 to 10 is in a larger context of this epistle where Paul is giving his apostolic credentials and we've entitled this particular three-part series, "Power in Weakness."

As we approach this text, one phrase, one expression in the text stands out and it's in verse 9, "And He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you." And by way of introduction, let me just start with that word "grace" and then we'll get in to the text itself. This is a magnificent Greek word used 155 times in the New Testament. The word in the Greek is charis and it basically means a favor bestowed, it means a generous gift given. That is its sort of normal common meaning.

But in the sense of the New Testament in its redemptive sense, it means a favor bestowed and a generous given...a generous gift given by God to people who are totally undeserving and unworthy. It is God's favor, God's goodness, God's generosity to provide for those who are unworthy of that provision. It starts at salvation and it goes right on forever because it tells us in Ephesians that through the ages to come God will show the riches of His kindness in His grace toward us. grace starts in a very general sense. Theologians call it common grace with the rain falling on the just and the unjust and God giving us life and breath and families and the joys of life and the beauties of life and just life itself...that's common grace. Then grace reaches a completely and wonderful proportion when it saves us and we go from common grace to the uncommon grace of salvation and we are given salvation, forgiveness of all of our sins, all the blessings that are God's and the heavenlies are then bestowed upon us and held for our disposal. That goes on through sanctification and on through glorification. God is generous to undeserving sinners. He is generous to those who are in Christ from the time of their salvation forever and forever.

This grace is a dynamic force. It is a dynamic force by which God applies to us everything we need...to save us, to keep us, to enable us, to deliver us, to sanctify us, to glorify us. We were saved by grace, Ephesians 2 says, through faith, but it is God's grace that just initiates there and sustains all the way through all of eternity. Every benefit in life, every benefit in eternity is by God's grace. And this great redemptive aspect of grace comes only to those who know Jesus Christ. It is faith in Jesus Christ that brings us into God's uncommon grace, into God's special saving grace and eternal grace.

When we think about the Christian faith, we could sum it up in the word "grace." That's why this church is called Grace Church. No word more clearly sums up the message of our faith than grace. And no word sets us apart from all other religions of the world than grace, for all others have inherently in them some attainment of salvation through some human achievement, religious or moral, or a combination of both. But ours is a grace religion, ours is a faith that includes the concept, the overriding concept that we deserve nothing and yet God gives us everything. Because of His goodness He bestows on us eternally favors undeserved.

One of the most wonderful statements ever made about our Lord Jesus Christ was the inspired word by John the apostle in John 1:14 when John said of Jesus, "He was full of grace...He was full of grace." We shouldn't be surprised by that since He was God incarnate and God is a God of grace. If God incarnated Himself and came into the world, we would expect Him to be full of grace. Or the wondrous fact that His being full of the attribute of grace was followed by an even more thrilling reality in two verses later, John 1:16, it says of His fullness, "Have all we received and grace upon grace." God is grace, Christ was full of grace and when Christ comes into our lives we receive grace upon grace upon grace. That is to say those of us who know God through faith in Jesus Christ are the recipients of the out-pouring of God's continual blessing and favor. We accumulate grace. We accumulate it moment by moment by moment by moment all through our lives and even on into the glories of eternity. No wonder Luke, writing about the early Christians in Acts 4:33 says they were experiencing abundant grace. And Paul writing to the Romans in chapter 5 verse 2 said we stand in grace. In other words, he was saying it's as if grace is the environment in which we live, the air we breathe. We have received, according to Romans 5:17, an abundance of grace, and Ephesians 1, as I told you, and 2 talks about the riches of His grace. James adds that whatever great need we might have, God gives us a greater grace. And Peter calls it the multifaceted, many-colored, multiplied, manifold grace of God.

And from just those few Scriptures you get the idea that God doesn't skimp on it, don't you? When it comes to grace for salvation, when it comes to grace for sanctification, grace for service, grace for suffering, there's plenty of it. In all areas of life His kindness abounds, His benevolence abounds, His goodness abounds. This is contrary to the gods of the pagans who are best indifferent and must be coddled and cajoled and appeased so that they don't destroy their subjects. Our God is a God who by nature is gracious, who had incarnated Himself in the Lord Jesus Christ who was full of grace who comes to live in our lives and pour out upon us grace upon grace upon grace upon grace.

No where is it more magnificently summarized than in this very epistle, 2 Corinthians. Go back to chapter 9 for a moment and verse 8. This is the greatest statement on the sufficiency of grace made anywhere in the Scripture. Notice its comprehensiveness. Second Corinthians 9:8, "And God is able," that is He is powerful, "enough, He is capable to make all grace abound to you that always having all sufficiency in everything you may have an abundance for every good deed." The superlatives here are almost overwhelming, all grace, all sufficiency in all things always and an abundance for all or every good deed.

God has the ability to pour out enough grace so that it literally overflows you and always you will have all sufficiency for all the issues of life and an abundance of grace for every good deed. You have all the grace available you need to believe. You have all the grace you need to remove your sin and apply the righteousness of Christ to you. You have all the necessary grace to understand the Word. You have all the necessary grace granted to you to apply the Word, to overcome temptation, to triumph over habitual sin. You have all the grace necessary to endure suffering and disappointment and pain and sorrow. You have all the grace necessary to obey the Lord, all the grace required to serve Him effectively and powerfully, all the grace necessary to worship Him in truth and in spirit. No wonder verse 14 of 2 Corinthians 9 calls it the surpassing grace of God, I love this, in you.

When you became a believer, the floodgates of grace were open. Grace for everything is poured out on you and continues and will continue to do that. It's no wonder the hymn writer in looking for an adjective to describe it came up with "Amazing Grace."

Now against that background of this great sufficient grace in our text, the question is posed, "Is there sufficient grace to help us in every issue of life?" And Paul is finding out in our text, as we remember, that indeed there is. Life is filled with trouble, isn't it? Life is filled with difficulty. Life is filled with pain and sorrow and suffering. There are fears that abound in life. A lot of people made much out of the book written by Rabbi Cushner(?) called When Bad Things Happen To Good People. I'm going to write a book and the title of it is going to be Bad Things Happen To Everybody. Why sort out good people? Bad things happen to everybody because we are bad people living in a bad world. This is fallen humanity in a fallen environment. Obviously things go wrong, they go wrong all the time. God has given us the grace to save us. God has given us the grace to sanctify us. God has dispensed to us the grace that will bring us to eternal glory. God has given the grace to serve Him and proclaim His truth. The question here is, has God given us the grace to handle the sufferings of life? That's the issue.

We find Paul in this text at the low point of his life, depressed. He says he is in chapter 7, depressed, heart-sick, heart-broken, betrayed by the people he loved the most. And we pointed out the fact that the deepest pain in life comes from people and the closer we get to people and the more intimate we become with people and the more we love them and the more devoted to them we become and the more of our hearts we give them, the more potential there is for them to hurt us deeply. There's nothing as profound as being wounded in the house of your friends. Far greater than any economic pain or physical is that pain of unrequited love and betrayal.

And that's where Paul was. The Corinthian church had turned on him. They had betrayed him. They turned away from his love to them and were abusing him, following false teachers and believing lies about him. And his heart was broken and it was effecting the joy of the church and affecting the witness of the church as well. And so there was that suffering as well because he cared so deeply about the work of the church. And we find him at this point in his life where he's really at the bottom and he can't seem to do anything about it. And therein is the right place to ask the question...did he find sufficient grace for his trouble? Was God's grace sufficient in the deepest pain of his life.

Many would say today...Well, if you're really talking about deep issues, if you're talking about the deep pains of life, the depressions of life, the deep profound disappointments of life, the deep anxieties of life, you certainly don't want to give shallow answers. And I would agree with that. Some would suggest that when you get to the deep things you have to turn away from the Scripture because the Scripture is only good for the light touch, if you want the deep things to be dealt with you've got to turn to psychology, and psychiatry and therapy and counseling and even medication. You have to fill in the lack in our Christian life with some human insight and your human wisdom.

Sad to say, as bizarre as that sounds, most churches have bought into that. Most evangelical churches have bought into the idea the serious problems that Christians have are beyond the realm of the spiritual, they're beyond the realm of the power of God, they're beyond grace, they're beyond divine grace and they require human technique. Human technique, for the large part, invented and defined and basically altered over the last hundred and twenty years. Psychology is offered as the source of power in solving the deep problems, while divine grace is adequate only for the shallower ones. You have to turn to some human source for the deep things and you can turn to God for the shallow ones.

You know, it was interesting this week, I was reading in a Christian periodical that came out, an article advocating psychology as the necessary source for solving the problems of Christians. And in the article they attacked me in a...and, of course, in some periodicals being attacked is an honor because you don't want to be particularly identified with it and so they said, and it was kind of interesting the way they said it, they said, "John MacArthur has written a book called Our Sufficiency in Christ and in it he says that Christ is sufficient for all our needs and that the Word of God is sufficient for all our needs." And I forget the exact words, "And the Holy Spirit is sufficient for all our needs. And all that we ever need is available to us in Christ and through divine grace." And then their response was, "Can you believe anybody would say something like that?" They didn't even try to argue with it, they just said, "How archaic is this guy and where did he come from? Where has he been for the last 30 years?" They just quoted me without comment, like people would say...Wow, what kind of bizarre belief is that?

Pastors and Christians who give people the Bible and call them to prayer and to intimacy with God and to the resources of God's grace are even thought to be potentially dangerous and maybe even liable. That's why I was sued for clergy malpractice, a ten-year lawsuit that ran from 1980 to 1990, some of you don't know about it. I was sued for clergy malpractice because a young man had taken his life in a suicide and the family sued me and sued Grace Church, obviously all lawsuits have money as their ultimate end, but the lawsuit was based upon the fact that in ministering and preaching and speaking to this young man and giving him biblical truth to apply to the problems of his life we had exacerbated his precondition and driven him to suicide and were therefore guilty of clergy malpractice.

Well happily, by the goodness of God, and the sensibility of the court system all the way to the California State Supreme Court which ruled in our favor and finally the U.S. Supreme Court upheld the decision of the California court. Whatever the court said isn't the issue, simply to say that there's a whole community out there who believe that if you try to solve people's deep problems with the Word of God, you're a threat to society. Now that may be the worst of it, on the other hand, the best of it might be churches that believe only shallow things can be dealt with by divine grace, deep thing need human wisdom. How strange is that?

Is the Word of God so insufficient which Word is perfect, totally transforming the whole person, according to Psalm 19? Is the wisdom from above which confounds all the wisdom of man and calls it foolishness so insufficient to call upon that foolishness to help it? Is the Lord Jesus Christ in whom we are complete, in whom we have all things that pertain to life and godliness and have become partakers of His own divine nature and possessors of all His fullness so insufficient that He can't provide what we need? Is the Holy Spirit who has filled us with might in the inner man and given us all the fullness of God so we can do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think so weak and insufficient as not to be able to help us cope? It's unthinkable. Is the package of spiritual resources we have received in salvation which enables us to do everything in which we are strengthened unto all things in Christ unable at any point in our lives? And what does human wisdom add to us? When Paul said, "Our sufficiency is from God," was that just ignorance? Was he wrong? Was that foolishness? When he said in 2 Corinthians 3:5, "Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves but our adequacy is from God who also made us adequate," was he wrong?

Are we not adequate for every issue of life in the grace of God that is lavishly poured out on us? What a tragic delusion in the world but what an infinitely more tragic delusion in the church. And what an affront to our God and our Christ and our Holy Spirit and the Word. Truly, to borrow the words of Galatians 5:4, "We have fallen from grace." What fools people are in their troubles not to realize there is a throne of grace where we can go in time of need to find help, Hebrews tells us.

Where did Paul go in the time of his deepest depression, his greatest sorrow? Let's go back to our text. Let me read verses 7 to 10. "And because of the surpassing greatness of the revelation, for this reason to keep me from exalting myself there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me to keep me from exalting myself. Concerning this I entreated the Lord three times that it might depart from me. He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly therefore I will rather boast about my weaknesses that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties for Christ's sake, for when I am weak then I'm strong."

This is a monumental passage here. We find Paul in his deepest disappointment. Here we find Paul with a broken heart, in pain and sorrow and depression, rejected, betrayed, maligned, suffering from supernatural attacks on what was most precious to him, the church, particularly the church at Corinth. You remember the false teachers had come in. He defines all of that in verse 7 as a thorn in the flesh, literally the word "thorn" is a stake, he was impaled by this thing, it was just rammed through him, impaling him. And what was it? He defines this thorn in his flesh, a messenger of Satan, that's another word for a demon, an angelos of Satan, Satan's angel, a demon. A demon had moved in to some false teachers, brought the false teachers into the Corinthian church and they had created this terrible betrayal and this mutiny in Corinth. They were tearing up Paul's church. They were trying to destroy his reputation. They were maligning his character. They were assaulting his people. They were starting to destroy the effectiveness of that church, potentially its witness. And Paul saw this as a thorn in his flesh. It was something that was just ripping into him because of his great love for the church and the people in it.

I remind you in verse 7, "There was given me," and I told you it was given to him by God. And I remind you that most people want to wander through life thinking that God brings all the good times and the devil brings all the bad times and don't understand that the bad times come at the will of God just like the good times. And the bad times are by God's design and far more productive than the good times. There was given me by God this...this demon-inspired conspiracy that just ripped and tore me like a stake driven through my flesh to buffet me. The word "buffet" meaning to punch. This thing was hammering on me. God had brought this.

You know, people, you need to understand this. There is this idea in Christianity today that if you have a problem it needs an immediate solution and you've got to run somewhere and get it fixed. Counselors' offices are full of people who want quick fixes on the issues of their dilemmas...people who are suffering from being hated or rejected or abused or misrepresented or maligned or betrayed or unappreciated or whatever it might be. And all these human problems of unfulfillment and dissatisfaction that create all these problems with people are brought before the counselor in this passion to get them all solved.

But the right perspective is to understand that in the midst of life this is part of it and don't look for a quick solution. But try to discern what God is doing in the midst of it. And don't assume that the devil brought it independent of the allowances of God cause God has purposes in our suffering. And sometimes God's purposes are really amazing. It's hard to imagine in one way that God wanting to achieve something in the life of such a special man as Paul would allow one of His own beloved churches to be torn up to achieve that. It doesn't seem rational to us that God would allow this discontent and this chaos and confusion in the church at Corinth so that He could accomplish something in Paul's life. But in fact that's exactly what happened.

Now it isn't that God didn't love Paul. He loved him greatly as He loves all His own. It isn't that God was indifferent to Paul, not at all. In fact, our dear Lord Jesus Himself after He had already gone to heaven and taken a seat at the right-hand of God came back to earth to visit Paul three times, and one time took Paul to heaven to see him there. So He came down to visit him three times and took Paul to heaven once to confirm His love and to strengthen Paul for the immense amount of suffering he had to endure. He appeared to him on the Damascus road face-to-face, made him blind. And then He took him to heaven. And then He appeared to him in Acts 18, just in the moment of Paul's suffering when he was starting the church at Corinth, Acts 18. And then He appeared to him again in jail. And the Lord came to him in powerful, unique unequalled encounters.

And the Lord was personally involved in Paul's life to shape him into the man he ought to be. But it was...it was not that that did the work of shaping Paul. It wasn't the Damascus road vision and it wasn't the vision that he had when he went to heaven as noted earlier in the same chapter. It wasn't the vision in Corinth. It wasn't the vision in jail later on. What really made Paul the man he was were not those high and elevated, holy and glorious experiences of the risen Christ. What made him the man he was was suffering and pain. The Lord came to Paul to shape and mold that man into the man He wanted him to be through his suffering and his pain. God does not want you free from suffering. He does not want you free from sorrow and pain. James says count it all joy when you fall into various trials cause trials have a perfecting work. Peter says after you've suffered a while the Lord will make you perfect. God has called us to suffering. It was even Jesus Christ Himself who became obedient through His sufferings, who was perfected though His sufferings.

And that's what we learned in verses 5 to 10 here. Through the suffering and the terrible depression and sorrow of unfulfillment and broken heartedness in which Paul was literally being shaped, he learned five great lessons and that's what we're looking at. Remember lesson number one, God uses suffering to reveal our spiritual condition.

God uses suffering to reveal our spiritual condition. We saw that in verses 5 and 6. I won't go over it again, simply the fact is if somebody wants to see what you're really like and the truth must be known, then let them see you in your deepest sorrow, in your greatest pain and suffering. And therein will come out the character that is really there. So it was time for Paul to demonstrate his credentials. The Lord wanted the world to see what this man was made of, every reason then to cause him to suffer because it was in suffering that the truth would be manifest. What you are comes out in suffering. And Paul says you can look at me, in verse 6 at the end of the verse, and you can judge me and credit me with what you see in me and hear from me. That's the proof of the pudding. In the midst of the sufferings, what kind of man do you see.

Secondly, God taught him that He uses suffering to humble us, verse 7. Twice he says to keep me from exalting myself there was given me this thorn in the flesh. Paul, as he says in Colossians 2, would not take his stand on visions like so many do. He said...I did go to heaven, I did have a vision. I went to heaven, I came back from heaven but that's not helpful because all that does is puff up my pride. And so the Lord has to bring along these terrible thing in my life to humble my otherwise proud heart. God wants us meek and God wants us humble and He will even use Satan and his demons if necessary. And He will even use trouble in the beloved church if necessary to humble His servant. So when you're going through suffering, remember it is here that your spiritual condition is manifest. It is here that you can come to grips to what you really are in Christ and deal with it. And it is here that others can see the true character of your faith. Remember also that in your suffering you are humbled, you are broken. You become contrite. And when you become broken and contrite, of course you become useful to God. He gives grace, He says, to the humble.

Thirdly, Paul learned that God uses suffering to draw us to Himself. Verse 8, what did he do? He went to the Lord three times to pray. He drew into the Lord's presence, to call on the Lord to deliver him from this. And this is the right place to go. What lesser sources do men find when they can go to the living God? He faced many trials. He knew where to go. He went to God. It's the right place to go. That's the only place to go because therein could he find the strength and wisdom necessary.

That leads to the last two points which we'll make this morning. Point number four, God uses suffering to display His grace...God uses suffering to display His grace. Now we're in to verse 9. "And He has said to me, My grace is sufficient for you." "He has said," by the way, is in the perfect tense which means it was a set answer. He went three times and three times he got the same answer. "Paul, I hear you, I know you're asking for the thorn to be removed. I know you're asking for the messenger of Satan to be removed. I understand all of that. I'm sorry, however, I'm not going to do that, I'm just going to turn up the grace." Standing answer. God answers not by removing the pain, because the pain was productive...not by removing the trouble because the trouble was productive. It really showed the true man and it humbled him and it drew him to God. And so God says I'm not going to remove that, the process isn't over, but what I am going to do is increase the grace so that you can endure it.

He gave relief. God gave relief not by removal but by sufficient strength to persevere through the necessary humbling process. In those times is when God pours out the greater grace. In those times sometimes you find yourself with an exhilarating joy. I can't...I can't say it any better than to say it in the way that it's in Acts 16 where Paul is in stocks and his arms are stretched and his legs are stretched and the muscles are taut and locked in these stocks, and he's kept there in excruciating agony. And Paul and Silas are in that condition and you go into the jail and you hear them doing what? Singing...singing. Why are they singing? Because they have been given sufficient grace to endure it...sufficient grace. And you're never going to know that grace if you don't have the exigencies that call for it. You're never going to know that grace and you're never going to know the joy of that grace and the exhilaration of that grace until you have to have that grace.

Sure, from a human standpoint Paul says...Get that stake out of my flesh, get that agony out of my heart. It's depressing me and it's crushing me and it's breaking me. And God says...I'm not going to get it out of there, I'm going to leave it there, I'm just going to crank up the grace and in the midst of the grace you're going to give Me glory and you're going to endure and people are going to see the greatness of your God and the strength of your faith.

First Corinthians 10:13 remind you of this. "There is no trial that will ever come upon you but such is as common to man. God is faithful who will never let you be tempted above that you are able and will with the temptation make a way of escape." But the Lord will bring trials into your life that you can endure. He will give you the grace to endure them so that in the enduring you experience the great grace. What an exhilarating, what a joyous, joyous experience that is.

Deuteronomy 33:26 puts it this way. "There is none like the God of Jeshurun, or the God of Israel, who rides the heavens to help." Joshua 1:9, "Be strong and courageous, don't tremble or be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." God will always be there, He'll always be riding to your help, ready to just unload gushing grace so that you can endure whatever it is that you're suffering.

I read earlier Isaiah 42, I want to read a couple of verses out of a subsequent chapter, Isaiah 43. Listen to this. Verse 1, "I have called you by My name, you are Mine, God says. When you pass through the waters I will be with you and through the rivers they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire you will not be scorched, nor will the flames burn you for I am the Lord your God, the holy one of Israel, your Savior." God doesn't promise no waters and no rivers and no fires, He just promises to be there when we're going through. And the grace is there poured out on us in abundance. In 1 Timothy 1:14 Paul says, "The grace of our Lord was more than abundant." Wow, more than abundant.

Now, folks, get this would you, please? Here is the cornerstone of Christian living. It is simply this, listen carefully. You will have trouble. In this life it is inevitable and it is useful because it produces the evidence of your true spiritual condition, humility and intimacy with God and allows God to put Himself on display in His grace. This is the cornerstone of Christian living, folks. You will have trouble. God does not promise to remove it but He does promise to pour out enough grace to endure it.

The word "sufficient" there in verse 9 is arke, it is enough. You'll have enough grace. You will have trouble, you will have difficulty, you will have temptation, you will have pain and disappointment, but God promises not to take away all that. See, that is the current temporary lie that God wants your life to be happy, and peaceful and comfortable and successful and satisfactory and prosperous and it's the devil who wants all the bad stuff. You want to know the truth? It's the devil who would like to make your life prosperous and successful and happy and tranquil because then you wouldn't need God and you wouldn't have to thank Him for anything. The prosperity message is the devil's message. God's message is a message of suffering and grace. God wants us humble and He uses suffering to humble us. God wants us intimate with Him and He uses suffering to make us intimate with Him. God wants our testimony made manifest. He wants our character on display and He uses suffering to reveal it. And the greatest testimony a Christian's ever had in history is when they're persecuted. And the persecution of the saints, the blood of the martyrs becomes the seed of the church. God will crank up the grace in your life and He'll crank up enough grace for you to be able to endure.

The song writer put it this way, "He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater. He sendeth more strength when the labors increased." In other words, you get as much as you need and more. "To add affliction He addeth His mercy, to multiply trials is multiplied peace. When we have exhausted our store of endurance, when our strength has failed as the day is half done, when we reach the end of our hoarded resources, our Father's full giving has only begun. His love has no limit, His grace has no measure. His power, no boundary known unto men for out of His infinite riches in Jesus He giveth and giveth and giveth again." God just wants to flood you with grace and there's always plenty.

In His inimitable way, Charles Spurgeon was riding home one evening after a heavy day at the church, a day full of work and hardship and some disappointment. He was filling depressed. And his biographer says he thought about the verse, "My grace is sufficient for you." And in his inimitable way he immediately compared himself to a little fish in the Thames River apparently lest drinking so many pints of water in the river each day it might drink the Thames dry. And feeling insecure in that event only to have Father Thames say, "Drink away little fish, my stream is sufficient for you." The biographer says, and then he thought of a little mouse in the granaries of Joseph in Egypt, afraid it lest might also die by daily consumption of the corn it needed it feared it might exhaust the supply of all the corn in all of the silos and starve to death. And when Joseph came along and sensing the mouse said, "Cheer up, little mouse, the granaries are sufficient for you."

There again he thought of himself as a man trying to climb to the tops of the Alps. Reaching the lofty summit and dreading to take a breath lest he might exhaust all of the oxygen in the atmosphere only to hear the creator say, "Breathe away. old man, my air is enough for you. There's enough and more than enough and plenty.

And you're never going to know it, and you're never going to know the exhilaration of it and you're never going to know the thrill of it unless you can just rest in the suffering and let God pour out the grace. And you find yourself singing at the strangest places and times and you'll find a peace in your heart that knows no explanation and you find a joy that's disconnected from your circumstances because this grace is an energy that transforms. It's not in itself a static gift. Grace is an energy that chooses you. It's an energy of being flooded with blessing from God that alters your thinking...changes you, transforms you.

Yes, Paul was in his deepest suffering, but God was using it to put His grace on display. And that turns you into a worshiper, doesn't it? And God wants you to worship Him. And you couldn't fully worship Him, you wouldn't know the abandonment of joy and the abandonment of heart that Paul and Silas knew in the jail unless you had sufficient grace in the midst of dire suffering. The people who worship God most deeply are those who have been through the deepest water and have been flooded by His grace.

One last point. God uses suffering to perfect His power...God uses suffering to perfect His power. God wanted Paul not just to be a humble man, not just to be a man of prayer and intimacy with God. Paul was not only to be a man of suffering so that God could display His grace but God wanted this man to be powerful. God wanted this man to be used to change the world. God wanted him to impact individuals and families and cities and nations. And so we come back to verse 9. "Power is perfected in weakness," God said to him. When He answered that prayer He said, "My grace is sufficient," and then the second part of it was, "Power is perfected in weakness." I not only want you to go through this so I can put My grace on display, but I want you to go through this so there's nothing of you left. I want you whittled down to nothing. I want you down...I want you down to the point where you have no self-confidence, you have no trust in yourself, you have no self-esteem in the sense you believe you're capable of anything eternal. I want you broken down. And I mean He broke him.

You go back, and we'll do this next Sunday, but you go back to Romans chapter 8 and remember Paul talking about tribulation and distress, persecution and famine, nakedness, peril, sword. And then he says, you know, they'd come after me, the angels, the principalities, the things present, the things to come and the powers, the height, the depth, and nothing can separate me from the love of God...he says in Romans chapter 8. But it had all come at him and he was basically broken down. I mean, you remember part of the accusation against him in the Corinthian church was that he was weak and he was contemptible and he lacked charm and charisma and oratorical skill and all of that. And he had been pretty well hammered down to nothing. It was the suffering that crushed out his pride and crushed out his self-confidence that made him powerful.

You see, when the Christian gets to the place where he's lost all human ability to deal with his difficulty, he's got nowhere to go...nowhere to go. When you realize you're weak, when you realize you can't fix it...Paul couldn't fix it, he couldn't fix it, he had been there, he visited, he sent people, he wrote letters, he couldn't fix it. And the rumors were getting further and further spread around about him, lies about his life that he was a wicked man and he couldn't do anything about it. And there he was with nothing but God and that was enough. He had to trust God's power.

I mean he had been persecuted mercilessly. He had been battered and hammered. He had not only found sufficient grace but he had found that when he was finally crushed down to nothing, he became powerful. You see, when your human wisdom's out, when your human confidence is out, when your ingenuity is out, when your solutions to the problems are out, when you have nowhere to go and nowhere to turn but God, you are now in a position to be most effective. I'll put it this way. No one in the Kingdom of God is too weak to be powerful but many are too strong...many are too strong. First Corinthians 1:27, "God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things that are strong, the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen the things that are not." God loves to work through nothings and nobodies and then He gets all the glory as He rightly deserves.

Paul says, "When I came to you...I was in weakness, fear and trembling." He didn't come in thinking himself some great man with some great message and some great power in his life and parading himself around as if he were. He came in fear. He came in trembling. He came in weakness. He had had visions of Christ, he had had a trip to heaven and back, he never talked about it. He just spoke of his weaknesses. But when he was no longer able to do anything, then God was able to do everything.

You see, physical suffering, mental anguish, disappointment, unfulfillment, failure creates a pressure that produces power, it really does because it just squeezes everything out of us so that we become nothing but a clear channel through which the power of God can flow. Paul learned, he really did. He learned all his lessons. In the middle of verse 9 he says, "Most gladly," he's happy now, circumstance hasn't changed, nothing's changed circumstantially, but "Most gladly...he says...I'm happy now and I'd rather boast about my weaknesses that the power of Christ may dwell in me." I'd rather be powerful than anything else and in order to be powerful I have to be weak. I just want to talk about my suffering. I don't love the abuse, I know it's satanic, I don't honor that, but I do know that God is using all of this to make me the man He wants me to be and I love His grace and I love His power and I love the humbling process and I love the intimacy with Him because I understand what it produces.

So, let me boast...he says. We're going to compare notes and see who is the real apostle, let me boast...I'll boast about my weaknesses. He goes back to that again as he has every time. He's done it several times, as we've noted, always wanting to boast about his weaknesses because it was in his weakness that the power of God was seen. Look at me...he's saying...you can't explain my life, you can't explain my effectiveness, you can't explain my ministry except for the fact that I am weak and He is strong because you know I'm not strong. He says I just want the power of Christ.

His weakness was not self-induced, it was God-given. It wasn't artificial, it wasn't a psychological game he was playing with himself. It was God-given weakness. He had been literally crushed by God so that he could be powerful. So when we have the deepest trials in life and we go through these things, you go through those times of unfulfilled relationships and broken heartedness and unsatisfied desires and we suffer from those who should love us the most, remember God is at work. The world can't fix it and probably shouldn't because God is using it to reveal your spiritual character, to humble you, to draw you to Himself, to put His grace on display and to make you powerful.

So Paul says the dominant theme of my life is suffering. Verse 10 sums it up, "Therefore...therefore...here's the summation...I'm well content with weaknesses." Well content means I'm satisfied, folks, I am satisfied. I am at peace, I'm at rest, I'm content. It's a great word...I am content. Perfect contentedness with weaknesses, insults, distresses, persecution and difficulties for Christ's sake. He's not talking about the things that come as a result of our sin and iniquity and disobedience. No. He's talking about those things that come for Christ's sake, they're undeserved sufferings and persecutions that aren't connected to our sin. He wouldn't be happy about his chastenings. He wouldn't be happy about sins. He's not saying that. He's saying I'm content with all those sufferings that come when I'm faithful to the Lord, "Because when I'm weak, then I'm strong." He wisely embraced his pain. He wisely embraced his suffering as hard as it was because it was in that weakness that Paul died and it was when Paul died that Christ really lived.

That's the way to look at life. And again I go back to the fact that this is the cornerstone of Christian living. Life is full of trouble and it's your perspective on trouble that is the bottom-line issue here. Running all over the place to have your trouble fixed isn't the answer. Being obedient to the Word of God and letting God do His perfecting work in your life, that's the answer. You embrace your suffering like Paul did. You be content with it. You be thrilled with it. You sing hymns of joy to God for it. You count it all joy because it's having a perfecting work.

A few years ago a song was written that really says it. I'll close with this. It's called "The Refiner's Fire." Listen carefully to the words.

There burns a fire with sacred heat, white hot with holy flame. And all who dare pass through its blaze will not emerge the same. Some is bronze and some is silver, some is gold and with great skill all are hammered by their sufferings on the anvil of His will. I'm learning now to trust His touch, to crave the fire's embrace. For though my past with sin was etched, His mercies did erase. Each time His purging cleanses deeper, I'm not sure that I'll survive. Yet the strength and growing weaker keeps my hungry spirit alive.

And then this great chorus...The Refiner's fire has now become my sole desire. Purged and cleansed and purified that the Lord be glorified, He is consuming my soul, refining me, making me whole. No matter what I lose I choose the Refiner's fire.

And when you can come to the point where you say that, you've reached a level of maturity and a grasp of the Christian life. No matter what I may lose, I choose the Refiner's fire. The Refiner's fire has become my sole desire because I want to become weaker so that He may become stronger.

Revealing your spiritual character, humbling you, drawing you to Himself, displaying His grace, demonstrating His power, that happens through your suffering. Embrace it and let God do His refining work. Join me in prayer.

Father, give us songs in the night, give us joy in jail and give us peace and contentment in our pain knowing that You're at work teaching us these profound lessons, revealing our spiritual condition and humbling us, drawing us to You and putting Your grace on display so that we can rejoice in its exhilarating reality and bringing us to the end of ourselves so that our total trust is in You and we therefore become powerful in our weakness. O Lord, bring us to the place where we can say with the writer of that song...no matter what I may lose, I choose the Refiner's fire, not just because of what it produces, but even the joy of going through it bathed in Your overflowing grace. And, Lord, accomplish Your good purpose in every life so that indeed as we sung earlier we might be used to bring people to the knowledge of Christ, the reason we're here to accomplish that ministry. Thank You for this morning together and we commit it to You and to the lives of all of us we ask that You would work Your work for Your glory in Christ's name. Amen.

A Time for Everything

Ecclesiastes 3

A Time for Everything

1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

Time is precious, hence, we need to manage our time wisely.

We need to manage our activities based on individuals' core value as some are making their lives too busy.

Each choice which we make in our lives will affect how we spend our time and thus our lives.

Each choice which we make based on our core value system will affect our lives.

We need to spend our time wisely -- and the process of making right choices is a life-long process.

May the Lord save us from this world turning into Sodom and Gomorrah!

Astonishing! ~ re 90 percent of U.S. bills carry traces of cocaine

It is a good thing that I don't use cash, unless it is necessary, as long as I can remember for decades.

Who wants to carry cash which could have went through anyone's hand....

--------------------------------------------------------

90 percent of U.S. bills carry traces of cocaine
By Madison Park

(CNN) -- The term "dirty money" is for real.

In the course of its average 20 months in circulation, U.S. currency gets whisked into ATMs, clutched, touched and traded perhaps thousands of times at coffee shops, convenience stores and newsstands. And every touch to every bill brings specks of dirt, food, germs or even drug residue.

Research presented this weekend reinforced previous findings that 90 percent of paper money circulating in U.S. cities contains traces of cocaine.

"When I was a young kid, my mom told me the dirtiest thing in the world is money," said the researcher, Yuegang Zuo, professor of chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. "Mom is always right."

Scientists say the amount of cocaine found on bills is not enough to cause health risks.

Money can be contaminated with cocaine during drug deals or if a user snorts with a bill. But not all bills are involved in drug use; they can get contaminated inside currency-counting machines at the bank.

"When the machine gets contaminated, it transfers the cocaine to the other bank notes," Zuo said. These bills have fewer remnants of cocaine. Some of the dollars in his experiment had .006 micrograms, which is several thousands of times smaller than a single grain of sand.

Zuo, who spoke about his research at the national meeting of the American Chemical Society on Sunday, found that $5, $10, $20 and $50 bills were more likely to be positive for cocaine than $1 bills.

"Probably $1 is a little too less to purchase cocaine," Zuo said "I don't know exactly [why]. It's an educated guess."

For years, health agencies have advised people to wash their hands after touching cash for sanitary reasons. Disease-causing organisms such as staphylococcus aureus and pneumonia-causing bacteria have been detected in paper bills. According to a 2002 study published in the Southern Medical Journal, 94 percent of the tested bills had potentially disease-causing organisms.

Adam Negrusz, an associate professor of forensic sciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago, said he isn't worried about the cleanliness of money in terms of public health.

"I never think about this as a source of danger. We have more things which can be potentially harmful," said Negrusz, who was not involved in Zuo's study.

Cocaine binds to the green dye in money, he said.

In 1998, Negrusz published similar findings after comparing freshly printed dollar bills that were not released to the public and money collected from a suburb near Chicago, Illinois. In the study, 92.8 percent of the bills from the public had traces of cocaine, but the uncirculated bills tested negative.

Although the contaminated bills do not affect health, Negrusz said, they could cause in a false positive drug test if a person, such as a law enforcement officer or banker, handles contaminated currency repeatedly.

"Imagine a bank teller who's working with cash-counting machine in the basement of the bank," Negrusz said. "Many of those bills, over 90 percent, are contaminated with cocaine. There is cocaine dust around the machines. These bank tellers breathe in cocaine. Cocaine gets into system, and you can test positive for cocaine. ... That's what's behind this whole thing that triggered testing money for drugs."

Zuo hopes to compile the data from his research to form a drug use map, saying it could provide insights about regional cocaine use.

In his study, the rate of drug-contaminated money varied geographically from urban to less populated areas. A hundred percent of the sample bills collected from major cities such as Miami, Florida; Boston, Massachusetts; and Detroit, Michigan, tested positive for cocaine, but samples collected from smaller cities such as Salt Lake City, Utah; Niagara Falls, New York;and Dearborn, Michigan, had 87 to 67 percent.

Compared with currency from Brazil, Canada, China and Japan, U.S. bills had the highest percentage of cocaine, with 90 percent of 234 bank notes contaminated. Canada followed with 85 percent and Brazil with 80 percent. China and Japan had the lowest, with 20 and 12 percent respectively.

"Actually, we were surprised to find cocaine in Chinese bank note," Zuo said after analyzing 112 samples from China.

After the Communist Party took over, the country was relatively free of drugs from 1949 until the 1980s because of harsh punishments against substance use, he said. Two years ago, Zuo collaborated with Beijing scientists on testing bank notes and didn't find any contamination with cocaine.

"In the last year, 2008, we found trace amounts of cocaine," he said.

The Responsibilities of the Church: Preaching, Part 1
Selected Scriptures
Code: 90-143

As we come together this morning for the study of the Word of God, I want to continue in discussing with you the anatomy of the church. We have been for months now looking at the church and what the church ought to be and what ought to be its life and its emphasis, its ministry. We started out looking at the church in the symbolism of the body of Christ, as the New Testament identifies the church as a body, we've extended that metaphor a little bit. We talked about the skeleton of the church, the doctrinal foundations of the church. Then we talked about the internal organs, or internal systems of the church which are the spiritual attitudes that carry the life of the church, things like faith and love and obedience and worship and forgiveness and things like that. We went through those attitudes week after week.

And now finally in our discussion of the church as the body of Christ, we've come to the muscles, or the function of the church. What the church actually does, the church in action. And in our last message we looked at the subject of fellowship. The action of the church initially is it is a common expression of shared life, shared spiritual life in which people mutually minister to one another. All of us having been gifted by the Spirit of God for such ministry, and all of us having been called to the responsibilities of discharging the "one anothers" of the New Testament have a responsibility to each other to minister in the life of the church. It is a mutually ministering group of folks who by the power of the Spirit of God serve one another. And we address the issue of fellowship, that was a wonderful, wonderful time.

I want to go to a second function of the church, and it really is one of the gifts, it really or maybe more than one of the gifts, it really can be identified as several of the gifts, it is that matter of proclaiming truth. We might just simply say preaching...preaching. It is a function of the church that the Word of God be preached. In fact, let me begin by saying something that I want to plant in your mind and then I'll repeat it as we go because I think it's so important. There's really only one primary reason to choose a church, only one primary reason to choose a church and that is the character of its preaching.

Now when people evaluate churches they might evaluate them on the basis of many things. But there's only one that really sets the tone. The single most important reason to choose a church is the nature and character of its preaching and teaching. Where you have strong biblical preaching and teaching, everything else tends toward strength. Where you do not have strong biblical teaching and preaching, everything else is weak and tends toward shallowness. Preaching sets the tone in the church, proclaiming biblical truth is essential. Why? "Because man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."

Preaching the Word of God, teaching the Word of God is a critical function in the life of the church. And, of course, we live in a time when preaching is being depreciated and it is being set aside in favor of other forms of communication. But the essential reality for the church, that which basically dictates its strength or weakness, is the character of its preaching and teaching. You show me a church where there is strong biblical preaching and teaching, and I will show you strong people and strong ministry. You show me a church where there is weak biblical preaching and I will show you a church with weak people and weak ministry. That's just how it goes because the Word of God is the food that makes believers mature and strong.

And the reality is that people in churches all across our country and all around the world are frankly starving. I hear it all the time, everywhere I go. It comes through the mail bags every day. People saying, "I can't find any place where I can be fed. I'm starving here or there or wherever it might be. Where do I find some food for my soul? Isn't anybody going to teach me the Word of God?" Cries from people all across the world, really. People are starving.

Some of them know what they're starving for. Some of them know they're starving for the knowledge of God which comes through His Word. And some of them don't know it. In fact, there are many people in churches who are starving and don't know what for. They really don't know that what they really need is the clear, penetrating Word of God proclaimed and taught. People are starving for the knowledge of God, whether they know it or not. Some do, some don't. They're starving to know their God deeply, to know Him broadly, to understand the world through His view. They're starving for a sound theology that they can live on, build their life on, be anchored by. They're starving for divine wisdom which comes through the knowledge of God in His revelation. People are starving for the knowledge of God. People live out their beliefs. We live according to our doctrinal standards, our doctrinal convictions. And where they're strong, you tend to have a strong life. Where they're weak, you tend to have a weak life. The Word is the foundation for everything and God has ordained that it be preached in His church. And that's what makes His church strong.

Turn to 1 Peter chapter 4, for a moment, I'm just going to introduce this, this morning, and then finish it tonight. I'm going to give you the introduction this morning, and the sermon tonight. In 1 Peter chapter 4 and verse 11, we read this, "Whoever speaks, let him speak as it were the utterances of God." That's simple enough. Whoever speaks, let him speak the utterances of God. Let him speak what God has spoken. Let him preach the Word. That's what it's saying. Let him tell us about God from God's own revelation. Whoever speaks, let him speak the utterances of God.

Jesus Is Coming
Revelation 22:6-12

http://www.gty.org/AudioPlayer/Podcast/899

I want you to look with me at Revelation 22 verses 6 to 12 and I'll read them and then we'll study them. "And he said unto me, These words are faithful and true. And the Lord God of the holy prophet sent His angel to show unto His servants the things which must shortly be done. Behold, I come quickly, blessed is he that keepeth the words of the prophecy of this book. And I, John, saw these things and heard them. And when I had heard and seen I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things. Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not for I am thy fellow servant and of thy brethren, the prophets, and of them who keep the words of this book, worship God. And he saith unto me, Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still. He that is filthy, let him be filthy still. He that is righteous, let him be righteous still. He that is holy, let him be holy still. And behold, I come quickly and my reward is with Me to give every man according as his work shall be."

Now in this particular portion we have some tremendous stress laid on the suddenness of the coming of Jesus. Now the Bible has much to say about the fact that Jesus will come quickly, that He will come suddenly, that He will come in a moment, in an hour that you think not, that it will happen in the twinkling of an eye, that it will be sudden, that it will be swift and that it will be final.

Exodus 32:1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

2And Aaron said unto them, Break off the golden earrings, which are in the ears of your wives, of your sons, and of your daughters, and bring them unto me.

3And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them unto Aaron.

4And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

5And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD.

6And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

7And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:

8They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have sacrificed thereunto, and said, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.

9And the LORD said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

10Now therefore let me alone, that my wrath may wax hot against them, and that I may consume them: and I will make of thee a great nation.

11And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand?

12Wherefore should the Egyptians speak, and say, For mischief did he bring them out, to slay them in the mountains, and to consume them from the face of the earth? Turn from thy fierce wrath, and repent of this evil against thy people.

13Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, thy servants, to whom thou swarest by thine own self, and saidst unto them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of will I give unto your seed, and they shall inherit it for ever.

14And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.

15And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, and the two tables of the testimony were in his hand: the tables were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other were they written.

16And the tables were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, graven upon the tables.

17And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said unto Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.

18And he said, It is not the voice of them that shout for mastery, neither is it the voice of them that cry for being overcome: but the noise of them that sing do I hear.

19And it came to pass, as soon as he came nigh unto the camp, that he saw the calf, and the dancing: and Moses' anger waxed hot, and he cast the tables out of his hands, and brake them beneath the mount.

20And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it in the fire, and ground it to powder, and strawed it upon the water, and made the children of Israel drink of it.

21And Moses said unto Aaron, What did this people unto thee, that thou hast brought so great a sin upon them?

22And Aaron said, Let not the anger of my lord wax hot: thou knowest the people, that they are set on mischief.

23For they said unto me, Make us gods, which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him.

24And I said unto them, Whosoever hath any gold, let them break it off. So they gave it me: then I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.

25And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:)

26Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.

27And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.

28And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.

29For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves today to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day.

30And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses said unto the people, Ye have sinned a great sin: and now I will go up unto the LORD; peradventure I shall make an atonement for your sin.

31And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

32Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.

33And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

34Therefore now go, lead the people unto the place of which I have spoken unto thee: behold, mine Angel shall go before thee: nevertheless in the day when I visit I will visit their sin upon them.

35And the LORD plagued the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

~*~ Sanctification ~*~ May the Spirit of God sanctify us each day as we seek and live according to His Will.

1 Corinthians 1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

1 Thessalonians 4:3
For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

1 Thessalonians 4:4
That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

2 Thessalonians 2:13
But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

1 Peter 1:2
Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

Sanctification is a biblical doctrine that is emphasized a great deal in Christian teaching. Yet despite its importance, it is often perceived as a religious notion too complex to comprehend. Though sanctification may at first seem to be a foreign concept, it is one of the greatest things that has and is happening to every believer in Jesus Christ. Here we will explore the basic biblical doctrine of sanctification and discuss the key role it plays in a Christian's spiritual growth.

Sanctification comes from the verb sanctify. Sanctify originates from the Greek word hagiazo, which means to be "separate" or to be "set apart." In the Bible, sanctification generally relates to a sovereign act of God whereby He "sets apart" a person, place, or thing in order that His purposes may be accomplished. In the book of Exodus, God sanctifies a place of worship. "And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory," says Exodus 29:43. Even a day can be sanctified as seen in Genesis 2:3 where the seventh day is "set apart" as a holy day of rest. "Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made."

Similarly, when a person is sanctified he or she is being set apart by God for a specific divine purpose. The very moment we are saved in Christ we are also immediately sanctified and begin the process of being conformed to the image of Christ. As God's children we are "set apart" from that moment to carry out His divine purposes unto eternity. Hebrews 10:14 says, "For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified." Are you set apart for God?

Sanctification - Different Than Salvation
It is important to differentiate between justification and sanctification. Justification is another word for salvation. Jesus gave his life on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. His blood washes away our sins and frees us from an eternity of suffering and condemnation. Believers are saved because of what Christ has already done. We can do nothing to earn salvation, it is the gift given to every child of God regardless of race, age, maturity, or merit. Sanctification occurs as a result of salvation. At the moment of conversion, the Holy Spirit enters our life. We are no longer held hostage by death, but are free to live the life God desires for us. We are thus sanctified simply because of our standing as lost souls saved by grace.

Sanctification - A Continuing Process
Sanctification does not stop with salvation, but rather it is a progressive process that continues in a Christian's life. Unlike the things and places that are sanctified by God in the Bible, people have the capacity to sin. Even though we have been "set apart" as God's children, we continue to behave in ways that are contrary. As Christians, we realize shortly after we have been saved that there is a new inner battle being waged within us - a battle between our old sin-lead nature and new Spirit-lead nature. Paul in Galatians best describes this inner struggle in Galatians 5:17: "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish."

Like Paul, our heart's desire is to please and obey God, but our flesh is weak making sin difficult to resist. Yet, it is in our continual struggle with sin and obedience to God that sanctification does its work.

But what is the work of sanctification? What does it practically mean to be "set apart"? Sanctification can be described as an inward spiritual process whereby God brings about holiness and change in the life of a Christian by means of the Holy Spirit. The effects of living in a fallen world have harmed everybody differently. We all face different issues, struggle with sin, and past hurts of varying degrees, hindering our ability to live the life God desires for us. Once we accept Jesus Christ into our lives, the Holy Spirit enters our life to start a transformation process (progressive sanctification). He convicts us on areas that need to be changed, helping us to grow in holiness. We begin to view the world, people, and personal difficulties from a more biblical perspective. Our choices begin to be motivated by love and truth and not selfishness. For instance, we may have misplaced our confidence and security on beauty, wealth, and materialism, but God may ordain difficult circumstances to liberate us from these growth-hindering snares. The transformation process may be painful, but it is always motivated by God's love for us. Further, God promises in His Word to not give us more than we are able to handle (1 Corinthians 10:13).

This is the working process of sanctification is the life of every believer. Though the process is personal for each individual, the end goal is to prevent sin and produce spiritual growth. Note that sanctification has nothing to do with living in sinless perfection. We will never be sinless in this life. In fact, the Bible warns against such false teachings in 1 John 1:8: "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us."

Sanctification is not about trying to be sinless in order to earn the favor of God. Rather, sanctification is for our own benefit. God commands us to pursue sanctification so that through it we may be blessed.

As the deer panteth for the water,
So my soul longs after you
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.

Chorus:
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.

I want you more than gold or silver,
Only You can satisfy
You alone are the real joy giver
And the apple of my eye.

Chorus:
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.

You're my friend and You're my brother,
Even though you are a King
I love You more than any other
So much more than anything.

Chorus:
You alone are my strength, my shield;
To You alone may my spirit yield
You alone are my hearts desire,
And I long to worship You.

42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

43And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.

44And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour.

45And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst.

46And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

We learn astonished reverence, breathless adoration, awesome fascination, and lofty admiration for the attributes of GOD.

We keep on falling into temptation of satan because we have not experienced deeper relationship with GOD.

Luke 6:11 And they were filled with madness; and communed one with another what they might do to Jesus.

12 And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Crucified ~ Jesus took the fault, and died for us.

Matthew 26

1And it came to pass, when Jesus had finished all these sayings, he said unto his disciples,

2Ye know that after two days is the feast of the passover, and the Son of man is betrayed to be crucified.

3Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,

4And consulted that they might take Jesus by subtilty, and kill him.

5But they said, Not on the feast day, lest there be an uproar among the people.

6Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,

7There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

8But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste?

9For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

10When Jesus understood it, he said unto them, Why trouble ye the woman? for she hath wrought a good work upon me.

11For ye have the poor always with you; but me ye have not always.

12For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

13Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her.

14Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,

15And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.

16And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.

17Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?

18And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

19And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

20Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

21And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

22And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

23And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

24The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

25Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.

26And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.

27And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;

28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

29But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.

30And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.

31Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd,

and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.

32But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.

33Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

34Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

35Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

36Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.

37And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.

38Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

39And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.

40And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?

41Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

42He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.

43And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

44And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.

45Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

46Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

47And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

48Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.

49And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.

50And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus and took him.

51And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear.

52Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

53Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?

54But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?

55In that same hour said Jesus to the multitudes, Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me.

56But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled.

57And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.

58But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and went in, and sat with the servants, to see the end.

59Now the chief priests, and elders, and all the council, sought false witness against Jesus, to put him to death;

60But found none: yea, though many false witnesses came, yet found they none. At the last came two false witnesses,

61And said, This fellow said, I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.

62And the high priest arose, and said unto him, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

63But Jesus held his peace, And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

64Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

65Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

66What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

67Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,

68Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

69Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.

70But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest.

71And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, This fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.

72And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

73And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech bewrayeth thee.

74Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

75And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

Matthew 27

1When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:

2And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.

3Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,

4Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

5And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

6And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.

7And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.

8Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.

9Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

10And gave them for the potter's field, as the Lord appointed me.

11And Jesus stood before the governor: and the governor asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And Jesus said unto him, Thou sayest.

12And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

13Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

14And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

15Now at that feast the governor was wont to release unto the people a prisoner, whom they would.

16And they had then a notable prisoner, called Barabbas.

17Therefore when they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Jesus which is called Christ?

18For he knew that for envy they had delivered him.

19When he was set down on the judgment seat, his wife sent unto him, saying, Have thou nothing to do with that just man: for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

20But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy Jesus.

21The governor answered and said unto them, Whether of the twain will ye that I release unto you? They said, Barabbas.

22Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.

23And the governor said, Why, what evil hath he done? But they cried out the more, saying, Let him be crucified.

24When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it.

25Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

26Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

27Then the soldiers of the governor took Jesus into the common hall, and gathered unto him the whole band of soldiers.

28And they stripped him, and put on him a scarlet robe.

29And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews!

30And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.

31And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him.

32And as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: him they compelled to bear his cross.

33And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull,

34They gave him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when he had tasted thereof, he would not drink.

35And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots.

36And sitting down they watched him there;

37And set up over his head his accusation written, THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

38Then were there two thieves crucified with him, one on the right hand, and another on the left.

39And they that passed by reviled him, wagging their heads,

40And saying, Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, save thyself. If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

41Likewise also the chief priests mocking him, with the scribes and elders, said,

42He saved others; himself he cannot save. If he be the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe him.

43He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

44The thieves also, which were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

45Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

46And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

47Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.

48And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave him to drink.

49The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.

50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

54Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.

55And many women were there beholding afar off, which followed Jesus from Galilee, ministering unto him:

56Among which was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedees children.

57When the even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathaea, named Joseph, who also himself was Jesus' disciple:

58He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

59And when Joseph had taken the body, he wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

60And laid it in his own new tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock: and he rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulchre, and departed.

61And there was Mary Magdalene, and the other Mary, sitting over against the sepulchre.

62Now the next day, that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate,

63Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, After three days I will rise again.

64Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first.

65Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch: go your way, make it as sure as ye can.

66So they went, and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch.

If Obama can achieve this, he will be in the US History as a leader who made a significant change, not just another puppet.

Lord, Jesus, Come to deliver us from this satanic world!!

Revelation 4:11. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

1 Corinthians 10:31. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Romans 11:36. For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

Psalm 73:24-26. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

John 17:22, 24. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one... Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

May the Lord our GOD help us to live according to His Will triumphant over the evil world until His Return. This world is possessed by those who are manipulating the world for power and greed; and many are fallen into the greedy hands and worship the idol. May GOD deliver us from the power of this world.

Praise the LORD, GOD Almighty ~

May the Lord our GOD lead and guide us to live according to the Will of God rather than seeking greedy power using the Name of GOD.

May the Will of GOD to be done in our lives and on this earth as we seek His Will instead of seeking our carnal desires.

Praise the LORD, may the Lord God be blessed and bless those who truly seek His Will and follow Him.

May the Lord Jesus return to save us from this evil world. COME Lord Jesus Christ to take us to the Kingdom of GOD!

Praise the LORD!

re: I am not sure what % of muslims believe that Jesus is not the Messiah, but it is certainly arrogance to claim that they know 100% of the Will of GOD. Jesus said to do the Will of the Father. Muslims claiming to know 100% of the Will of the Father is certainly not the Will of GOD. Christians believe in the MONOTHEISM in Trinity -- God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Disagreement is understandable, however, condemning based on that they know 100% of the Will of GOD is unacceptable. Who knows 100% of the Will of the Father?

~*~ Prayer for the 912 Unite ~*~ march in Washington ~*~

Almighty GOD,
lead and guide us to accomplish Your Will through us as the Americans are gathering together to seek our liberty in Your Name and to seek our liberty to worship You without oppression.

We pray that Your Power will guide and protect us so that Your Glory will be lifted and so that Your Power will be manifested through the 912 event. Lord, our GOD Almighty, we call on You because You are Almighty God and nothing is impossible for You. When we honestly seek Your Will, Your Divine Power will protect us. We seek Your Divine Protection throughout the 912 event that Your Glorious Hand will guide us. As we go through final week before the event, I pray that You will help each one of us to spread the word so that You can work through us to achieve Your Goals in our lives. This country is built on believing in You and when we live away from You, we become gradually desolate as we can see that our nation is increasingly becoming slaves of debt. The mammon is slaving and oppressing Americans to serve the idol, but in the end, we are destroyed because of national debt slavery. Lord our GOD, help us to free from the bondage and to seek the freedom to worship You and to live according to Your Will. Praise GOD.

May the Lord our GOD be with us. Amen

Auditing the Fed does not equal to Gold-idol worship, however. <<~~~ Gold hype is another deadly trap as it is spinning vicious cycle which will further endanger Americans (people).

We now have massive gold price hype articles based on the idea that Gold-standard can fix the problem if we get to audit the Fed.

I commented on the gold-standard which will never be as it is impossible to equate the old standard in our global and complex financial market environment including massive market manipulation and control by big money power, but it is feasible to implement similar policies. Even so, it will be a long process during which gold-hypers will continue to pounce.

Gold price manipulation is deadly for economy and all, many around the world except minimal benefit to gold producers, since it is a price manipulation which has a perception of forecasting inflation -- it is all illusion of price hype which does not benefit Economy, control the Fed and money power, or provide solutions to healthy economic policies.

Revelation 22

Amen.

~*~ Is Ra (sun) El (god) ~*~ Israel is really claiming "sun is god" as the individual word shows. Inherently the name itself worshiping Jesus as He said that He is the Light. Sun gives the light to us, and Jesus was symbolically saying that He is the Light which spiritually enlightens us. Therefore, whether all Israel people knows it or not, they are proclaiming "Jesus as God" even though they deny Jesus as the Son of God.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Ra

Other Names: Re

Patron of: the sun, heaven, kingship, power, light.

Appearance: a pharaoh wearing the sun disk on his head.

Description: Ra was the almost universally-worshipped king of the gods and all-father of creation. A sun god, he was said to command the chariot that rode across the sky during the day. A king, he was the patron of the pharaoh. Ra is the most central god of the Egyptian pantheon.

Ra's position in the pantheon is unusual. He is the only god, apart from Osiris, who is definitely said to be not on the earth. Ra, it is said, is an aging god, still powerful, but too old to deal with his children any longer, so he has gone exclusively to the sky to watch over the world. Horus rules over the earth and the gods in his stead, demonstrating the divine right of kingship.

The word El was found at the top of a list of gods as the Ancient of Gods or the Father of all Gods, in the ruins of the Royal Library of the Ebla civilization, in the archaeological site of Tell Mardikh in Syria dated to 2300 BC. He may have been a desert god at some point, as the myths say that he had two wives and built a sanctuary with them and his new children in the desert. El had fathered many gods, but most important were Hadad, Yam and Mot, each of whom has similar attributes to the Greek gods Zeus, Poseidon or Ophion and Hades or Thanatos respectively. Ancient Greek mythographers identified El with Cronus (not Chronos).

May the LORD smite the evil greed >> 'Capitalism: A Love Story' - OPENS NATIONWIDE OCTOBER 2nd!

(((~~ Capitialism is so corrupt, it is evil and has no hope. It is against God, the nation, the people -- it has turned into corrupted alliance against GOD, and there will not be a turning back -- irreconcilable with GOD. Only GOD can deliver His Justices against the greedy capitalists defiling the nation and people, globally. It is just a matter of Time, not if God will deliver His Justices against the greedy capitalists. May GOD show HIS POWER and GLORY against those who corrupted this country to satisfy their greed - as Jesus said, it is the eternal condemnation of GOD under the law in O.T. and Jesus is the eternal life. PRAISE GOD! MAY THE LORD SHINE HIS GLORY -- the END is coming SOON! ~~~)))))))

MAY THE LORD ALMIGHTY GOD deliver us from the demons.
May Jesus return to take us to His Kingdom out of this demonic world.

The implication of the Fed/US corruption, greed, and deception. e.g. swineflu shot
-- actually this is done globally, obviously per G20.
-- it is the return of the demons in Matthew 8:28-34.

~*~ Spirit of GOD vs Mammon ~*~ e.g. swineflu shot

The spiritual vision noted below communicates the message of God in this last days. As in Matthew 8:28-34, we need to guard against the demonic deception by wearing the holy armor of GOD in Ephesians 6:11-17.

The mammon power is using all kinds of deception fighting against the Lord Almighty deceiving those who follow Jesus and love GOD who created the Universe.

Even though the mammon is much powerful than us, GOD Almighty will deliver us from the demonic hands and deception as He promised that He will return and take us truly believing Him to the Heaven of God. Praise the LORD, ALMIGHTY!

Glory to GOD!! Amen

GOD WILL DELIVER US FROM YOU, THE FED DECEIVERS -- greedy evil demons!!

GOD WILL DELIVER HIS JUSTICES AGAINST YOU for deceiving Americans and the United States!!!

Bernanke is mega Traitor as is the FED!!

The FED is massive deception disguising as if it is the US government, and millions of Americans are deceived!

No Wonder why Americans and the Nation is going bankrupted.

The top 10 owners of the Fed are:

1. The Rothschild Family - London
2. The Rothschild Family - Berlin
3. The Lazard brothers - Paris
4. Israel Seiff - Italy
5. Kuhn-Loeb Company - Germany
6. The Warburgs - Amsterdam
7. The Warburgs - Hamburg
8. Lehman Brothers - NY
9. Goldman & Sachs - NY
10. The Rockefeller Family - NY

The federal Reserve bank of NY is owned by:

1. Chase-Manhattan (controlled by the Rockefeller Family) 32.3%
2. Citibank - 20.5%

The Poll is at the bottom.

The USD currency lost 96% of its value since the FED started in 1913.

The FED bankrupted millions of Americans and now in the process of bankrupting the nation.

Millions of Americans are still thinking that the Fed is a government entity --
in reality, 7 out of 10 owners of the FED are non-USA as listed above.

The FED does not have any interest for Americans, but deceives Americans for profit
as we have the evidences of decades of the Fed operation.

As a result, millions of Americans have gone bankrupted, our nation is going bankrupt,
and 1% owns over 90% of wealth -- and the wealth disparity is getting worse.

>>> And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. John 17:3

The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, not merely bookish or theoretical knowledge. He suggests that having an intimate relationship with the Father and Son causes us to become one with them. The only way we can do that is by living the way God does by faith. He walks—lives life—with those who agree with Him. The One who already had this unique relationship with God reveals to us the knowledge of how to do that.

Originally given to a spiritually faltering people, Amos 5:4 adds a vital command: "For thus says the LORD to the house of Israel: 'Seek Me and live.'" The word "seek" is not being used in the sense of "search" because God had already revealed Himself to them. Instead, it conveys the sense of "turn to Me," "seek to live as I do," "turn to My way of life," "seek to know Me in intimate detail."

In John 17:3, "eternal" is translated from the Greek aionis. Here, it deals not so much with duration of life, since by itself living forever would not necessarily be good. Rather, it implies "quality." Eternal life is the life of God, the way He lives life. To possess it is to experience a small measure of its splendor now.

Four times in verses 3 and 11, Jesus uses the word "name" in reference to God. "Name" represents, identifies, signifies, and encompasses what He is revealing to us about God. It includes what He is in His Person, His attributes, and His purpose. God's name keeps, guards, and sustains us, both by our trusting what it signifies and then, through obedience, expressing what it means.

Psalm 9:2, 10 declares, "I will be glad and rejoice in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. . . . And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You." "Name" does not refer to what He is called or the sound of that name, but to what He is like in His nature and character. We can trust what He is. This has marvelous implications for us. Matthew 28:19-20 says:

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.

The word "in" in verse 19 can just as correctly be translated as "into," meaning that we are immersed into the name of the Father and Son. We now bear that name! They are God, and we are children of God. Baptism and the receipt of the Holy Spirit are the entrance into that name and all it implies! We have entered into the Family of God! Just as a son bears his father's name, God's name is our spiritual family name.
