i got it in my ira td ameritrade ...you can buy what ever you want no questions asked.. so far anyway

Hugg I own shares in my ira. I think you mean at work it's a 401K? If a 401k they are right it has to be investments allowed by the 401k plan. If an individual ira you can do what you want.

1- Use extreme caution, this is a volatile play, I think long term bound to make money but if you trade in and out of an ira (or reg trading account) and are not a professional you could lose money by buying selling at the wrong time. I used like 5% of my ira to buy.

2- I dont know all the rules but w my 401k, cant buy any stocks, only etfs and funds. My ira I can buy individual stocks. Sometimes you just get the wrong guy on the phone.

401 or IRA... I only say that since you might be stuck with the company's 401 financial company.. but IRA... JUST MOVE IT.. I have 7 digits of SPNG in one.. I know IRA's in Ameritrade and Etrade allow them.. And some friends who company uses Fidelity as their 401 company have SPNG in that.. Just FYI
